Subject: AIG turning to FED for a loan
AIG is asking the FED to loan them money and is going to pay the FED
back once they sell some assets.  With the FED backing AIG, AIG
believes it can get more capital from investment firms that are
hesitant but will invest money in AIG with the FED backing.  AIG needs
to raise about 40 billion dollars by monday.

The FED said NO to Lehman
The FED said NO to BAC to back Lehman
The FED said NO to Barclays to back Lehman
The FED said NO to JC Flowers to back Lehman

What do you think the FED will say to AIG?

correction AIG needs to present a plan to raise 40Billion by monday.
well AIG has over 1 trillion dollars in assets Lehman has 600 billion
dollars in assets.  With the fall of Lehman the market is projected to
open down 300 points and it will probably hurt financials for months
if the FED allows AIG to fail weeks after LEH then financials will be
crippled.

Correct me if I am wrong...Fed has opened their lending window and
they are making lending easier. With that, AIG should be able to
borrow money from Fed.

Disclosure: I don't have any position in AIG, though I have other
positions, and AIG is going to affect the market.

Sept. 14 (Bloomberg) -- American International Group Inc., the
insurer seeking to stave off credit downgrades, may seek help from the
Federal Reserve, the Wall Street Journal said.

The insurer has turned down a private-equity investment because it
would have meant turning over control of the company, the Journal said
on its Web site, citing unnamed people familiar with the situation.

Tomorrow this is going to be my 80k to reach my million ! Thanks
president Bush ! Appreciated !
