Please do not insult AIG.

It is trash not garbage.  AIG is trash coz of ppl like u who keep
insulting her. Come on.

AIG owes the government so much money. And it will return it.

They will minus $25bln in debt next quarter.

Currently, they owe $120bln.

Yes it looks big.

But they have tons of ASSET to sell to the government.

IF THEY SELL ALL THEIR ASSET NOW AND PAY THE GOVERNMENT IN FULL PLUS
INTERESTS, WE COMMON SHARE HOLDER STILL GET $40/
SHARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

SO>>>>>><<<<<< Please clear the thrash for me please. Thanks.

Sorry, but anyone still investing in AIG is obviously short on barin
cells.

They continue to bleed money, profited solely as a result of
accounting tricks (asset markups), and are going back to the
government for billions more.  For crying out loud, why would you not
invest in one of the many good companies out there with good
management and business prospects.

Seriously, it may have been funny before, but trying to defend AIG at
this point just makes you look stupid.

Asian stock markets have not discounted the US unemployment rate of
10.2% which was released on the 6th of November. So, the share prices
will drop sharply at the Asian stock markets next Monday. Traders will
take this opportunity for further short-selling. Therefore, the
European and US stock markets will also go down. As AIG is a good
target for massive selling, it is likely to drop below $32.

Don't defend AIG, but just sell AIG short for earning money.

The stock just got punsihed 10% on what some would say were good
earnings.  It is irresponsible to suggest here to short the stock at
this price.  It is already at multi-month lows and I suppose it could
possibly go lower, based on the market, but if the market continues to
rally and you are short AIG, you will get your butt handed to you.
Everyone knows how fast this thing can move.  And if you are on
margin, even worse, cause those margin calls always come at the worst
time.  Don't be stupid, use common sense.  Go long or stay home.

SAKURA, I hope u do not short this. THis stock short percentage is
near 20%.. potential for a short squeeze.

U have seen how BULLS vs BEARS were playing this out on FRIDAY.

The BULLS are quite strong. and a break above 36 on MONDAY will
squeeze this upwards to 38.

Then another squeeze will occur.

AS U NUT HEADS Just keep shorting. GIVING AMPLE OPPORTUNITY FOR SHORT
SQUEEZE!

let them keep shorting against steadily improving fundamentals, better
the squeeze, I don't care!  I like that :)

"   AIG is still leaning on the government for assistance. In the
third
quarter, AIG drew down $2.1 billion from its U.S. Treasury Department
commitment and reported that interest and fees on its New York Federal
Reserve facility totaled $5.2 billion. "

" The outstanding balance of AIG's government bailout, including
government support of all types, stood at $120.6 billion at the
beginning of September, out of total authorized assistance of $182
billion ".

Scranton, not critizising or provoking but simply trying to understand
the situation a little better from a newbie perspective ! I am sure
the explanation to why you say they don't owe 120 b. can be found
somwhere in your scenarion calculations but for me being new to the
topic of financials/investing with neither educational nor practical
experience it is not very clear. Here we have what I hope to be a well
researched/ knowledge based article saying they do owe 120 b. which
makes sence based on all previously released news sources and
numbers...
