  Btw guys I never traded options, but FNM looks like perfect &lt;br&gt; opportunity to trade on volatility for me. To open both call and putt &lt;br&gt; options on the same strike and benefit from high volatility. Does &lt;br&gt; anybody do this? Any idea of option premiums on these stocks? &lt;br&gt; thanks

  It&#39;s all about accounting only &lt;br&gt; Most of FNM losses were driven by reserves made, so it&#39;s only paper &lt;br&gt; losses &lt;br&gt; FRE didn&#39;t make that much reserves last quarter (in some cases they &lt;br&gt; don&#39;t have to in some parts due to different capital structure, in &lt;br&gt; some cases just being more risky), that&#39;s why their report was better

  I completely agree that the government will back them, but not sure if &lt;br&gt; they will back the common shareholder. Hopefully they won&#39;t wipe out &lt;br&gt; common shares or pull a reverse split.
