Btw guys I never traded options, but FNM looks like perfect
opportunity to trade on volatility for me. To open both call and putt
options on the same strike and benefit from high volatility. Does
anybody do this? Any idea of option premiums on these stocks?

It's all about accounting only
Most of FNM losses were driven by reserves made, so it's only paper
losses
FRE didn't make that much reserves last quarter (in some cases they
don't have to in some parts due to different capital structure, in
some cases just being more risky), that's why their report was better

Well, Yesterday's bad earning report scared some after-hour cowards
and it appeared that FNM would dive back into 50 cents range today.
Well, watch the wounded whale today and it still was floating about

Im not really in tune with FRE like I am with FNM.
It seems good news from FRE would boost FNM in my opinion.
Almost as if the market is just waiting for a positive catalyst to
boost pps, and downplay the negative hits we've been taking until this
happens.

FRE earnings are next. What impact on FNM do u think will happen if
FRE also posts negative earnings and requests more bailout money?
Last quarter they didnt need any bailout $$.

I completely agree that the government will back them, but not sure if
they will back the common shareholder. Hopefully they won't wipe out
common shares or pull a reverse split.
