Does anyone know what caused this to go from $5.89 to $5.54 in
minutes? Same with WFC. It went from $29.48 to $28.65.

Wachovia no longer exists. The deal closed at WFC 29.48. So I assume
we all own WFC shares worth that amount now. And your extra shares
which dont form a whole WFC share you take that amount IE if you own
70.45 WFC shares you now own 70 WFC shares and .45 * WFC share price.
So you get paid out another 15 bucks or so.

Wachovia is officially dead.

I don't think you got the question right. I know the deal closed, but
if you look at WFC closing price and the swap ratio at .1991, it
doesn't explain why WB dropped 33 cents in minutes.

5.54 WB
29.48 WFC

29.48*.1991 = 5.87-5.54= 33 cents difference.

Subject: Re: Does Anyone Know What Happened at the Close?
WB dropped 33 cents because of the fact a bunch of people obviously
didnt want WFC stock. Or they all wanted to claim Wachovia for tax
loss or something. There is no reason or rational to explain the
stock. The only this is this stock is dead and its irrelevant what the
closing price was you own WFC right now. So WB price is moot.

I would also like to know how to convert my WB shares to WFC. Do I
just take the number of WB shares I had on 12/31 and multiply it by .
1991? I'm more than a little confused about this whole thing.
Hopefully I'll be getting something in the mail from Wachovia or Wells
Fargo that explains this whole thing.

What, is the same thing that happened to Wachovia going to happen to
Indymac, or visa versa??????

Either way the answer is no.

You Get WFC Stock, which will continue to trade and may go up or down
like normal stock does.

Indymac stock is now dead (CH 7). The question for the stockholders is
will they get cash compensation from the sale of the bank unit that
was siezed or not. Either way they will not get new shares in a new
company. its unlikley that they will get anything at all.

Um you multiply your shares of WB you owned on 12/31 by .1991.  Any
fractional shares you have left over you'll get a check for or your
broker will be credited cash for from WFC.  Say you own 2500 shares of
WB.  That would convert to 497.75 shares of WFC.  So you'd get 497
shares of WFC then get credited for .75 multiplied by whatever the
closing price of WFC was on 12/31.

If you look at your brokerage account, you'll see WFC actually rounded
up the number of shares you got for fractions of a share instead of
giving you cash.  I gained a bit of value from that.

This thing's a done deal.
