Great Mornin' Ta Ya, Think Tank & All,

Well, on the mornin' after the FIRST day of this run, or should I say,
on the mornin' of the SECOND day of this run, let's get to work.
There is still a LONG way to go with this pup.

(But yesterday was FUN, wasn't it?)

'Tis lookin like today MIGHT be even more FUN.

The major markets in Asia were mixed overnight.  The Nikkei was UP .
93%, but Hong Kong was down .93% and Shanghai was down .59%

Europe on the other hand, is universally up.  London is UP .21%, Paris
is UP .88% and Frankfort is UP 1.12%.

Oil, too, is UP ~ $.77 ($1.12%) to $71.48.

The DJIA futures are 38 Pts. and the S&P futures are UP 5.90 Pts.

The Pivot Point numbers for F for today are fun to look at, if nothing
else:

++++++++++
  Standard
R3 9.98667
R2 9.72333
R1 9.55667
PP 9.29333
S1 9.12667
S2 8.86333
S3 8.69667
Observation: BULLISH with a closing price between pivot point and R1.
++++++++++

All kinds of news this morning.  The Fed is meeting and is expected to
hold interest rates steady, but nothing should be announced until the
end of their meeting tomorrow.

The EU has finally dropped their case against Microsoft.  etc.
Generally positive, but nothing earth shaking.

Geely is in the press as having stressed that they intend to win the
contest to buy Volvo.  Now wouldn't an agreement before the end of the
year.....   Ah, forget it.  Ain't gonna go that fast.  Is it?

Apparently, there was a little excitement in the after-hours market
last night, with F momentarily hitting $9.19.  No explanation.  Didn't
stick.  Ended the session at $9.39, I believe.

That is where the first two trades in the directed-trades market just
were entered ($9.39) at 8:04 and 8:07 am.  Not a bad start to the day.

The big question is what today will hold.  Was the $9.19 event a
harbinger of things to come.  Will the bears strike back today with a
vengence or will today see the run continue and perhaps even
accelerate?

I am, frankly, not anticipating a day that does not see a MAJOR attack
on our new price levels.

On the other hand, I am even more opptimistic about the way the day
will end.

But the question at this hour is what do YOU think the day will
bring.  In particular, where will F open regular trading?  How low
might she dip (any reload opportunities)?  Just how HIGH will this pup
reach today?  And where, oh where, will she close.

Last word ~ no additional trades as of now.  Trading range at this
moment shows as $9.39 - $9.44.  Queues still thin, as is customary at
this hour in the morning.

Have a GREAT day.

Thanks for reporting all SPAM as soon as it show.  LOVE how clean YOU
are keeping this forum.

Think Tank & All~

The transition from the directed-trades market to the extended-hours
market went smoothly.  We saw a modest dip to $9.40, recovery to $9.43
and now another dip to $9.40.

Total volume only 25K.

Range $9.39 - $9.40.

Queues full but thin.

edin,

Having as much trouble following your thinking now as I often did when
you appeared to be just "hyping" imaginary F advances.

I believe that you have repeatedly stated your expectation that F
will, in short order, reach $12.00.

That is a little more than a 25% advance from current price.

I certainly don't mind your "taking off your pretty white shoes and
pom-poms".  Nor do I object to your decision to not encourage the
"retail customer" to do one thing or another.

Rather, I am simply confused.

Do you no longer expect F to continue on to $10, $11 and $12?

If you do fundamentally still believe in the quality of the F
products, leadership, and position, why all the consternation?

Just because we finally got a relatively small advance towards what
you have expected, why turn so negative?  Or at least, so uncertain?

I think it depends on the market overall.  If we get a decent up day,
I expect F to tack on a few cents at the most after yesterday's
runup.  It does seem like the downside drops we saw a few weeks ago
have been limited the past two or three weeks.  Hopefully that trend
continues.  I love it when F jumps on a down day for the DOW like it
did yesterday.  Makes my wife think I'm a genius.

Good Morning Think Tank,

The chart says we are breaking out on an ascending bull flag. The
sketch for this looks like a flag pole with an ascending triangle
flag. The base of the pole begins at the launch point prior to the
triangular consolidation...the flag. In my estimation this resides at
November 5th at roughly 7.50. The pole begins here and is drawn
straight up to the point of break out - the top of the flag - I'd say
9.xx. The technical target is derived by doubling the height of the
pole. By this chicanery the technical target looks like 10.60 but we
know better than that. If you look at the way Ford has behaved in the
past, that what charts do, you'll see several breakouts on similar set
ups. Ford always falls short of the technical target in the near term
and has on every occasion since March begun a new flag before reaching
the prior target. This is just the way you folks make it move. Bearing
this in mind I would call a target in the vicinity of 9.7x and hope to
have "schnitzed" a few cents below that.
My thoughts for the day is if we don't get a long candle Ford will at
least hold the line trading in a relatively narrow range today. If we
make the 9.7x target I'd expect to see another consolidation there
dipping back to who knows what....but I'm eyeballing 9.10 +/-. I'll
chime in when I can but with all the color choices my co-workers have
seized the Christmas spirit, layering me with Christmas colored duct
tape...and a few ornaments. Have a great day all, ...I'm strapping in.

Can't help but think we see an attack today. I think too many folks
lost alot of money yesterday and want it back. That said, Driver has
been on the ball lately.  I think Driver suckered everyone to sleep
for three or four days and then just "Kapow"!  Right in the kisser!

Opposition will not get caught sleeping today BUT I still think we see
a breakout to the $9.5xs, maybe $9.54-$9.58 with a pull back to the
$9.2xs

My call for the day

High $9.56
Low $9.21
Close $9.35 (give or take a penny or two)

Jager shots for whoever is closest!!!!!

To be settled at the Ford Shareholders Meeting in May.

Wij, would you be so kind as to keep the ledger?  Thanks!

Think Tank & All~

With a half hour left before the opening of the regular-hour markets,
the last trade for F was at $9.45 with 97K shares traded.  Looks like
we might open at the 52-week high set yesterday.

A collection of thoughts and reactions follow:

Gotluck~
MANY thanks for the chart work.
Your call fits my "gut"!  The mid-$9.70s just "feels" right to me.  I
do, however, doubt a subsequent pull-back to the $9.1xs.  Could
definitely see on back to about where we are now, but doubt that it
would go much deeper.  Partly because of the timing of the Dec sales
release.  Too close.

deanJames~
I agree pretty completely with you call for the day.

All~
I expect a real donney-brooke today.  I do NOT think that the bears
are going to disappear.  Still unsure of why they are fighting so
intensely, but I only expect it to be more intense today.  Hope I am
wrong.
Given the above, it think it could really go either way today.
But given Gotluck's chart and my base instincts, I am going to predict
that today is the day of the next leg of the move.

Therefore, my prediction for you, edin:

Open:  $9.40  (I think it could easily open at the 52-week high, but I
expect another "Suppressor" move just before the opening, so....)
Dip:  $9.35  (Could get much uglier, but ....)
High:  R2 ($9.72)   (Maybe it won't be today, but....)
Close:  R1 (9.56)   (Quite comfortable with this one.  Could be much
higher.  And if the battle goes the wrong way....?)

Interested in your thoughts!  Please share.
