this feels like end of october all over again. great #s for february;
we trade flat at 13 thru march. then the upgrade - great news,
possibly hundreds of millions of $ added to F bottom line as result of
savings in servicing their debt.... a flurry of optimistic reports
and articles. volume goes to 250 mil - they take us down. doesnt

Personaly I think Div stocks will outperform this year, dont think
econ will improve enough to boost cyclicals much. Ford, great company
as it is, still is a cylical.. As JD151 noted, Everyone must replace
their car sometime.

I feel like a heel. I got my butt chewed by a friend that I regularly
give advice to. I always tell him to be prepared to sell on a moments
notice beginning noon on Wednesday immediately before Options Friday.
I could have made a fortune if I had taken my own advice.

I mostly buy stocks in my IRA. But I did buy some F from my personal
funds on friday. I have no idea if 13 is the bottom for this year
going forward, but long term I believe Ford will pay off on my
investment. Only roadblock I see is perhaps Govt intervention, to

As much as that sounds like a sales pitch, I appreciate the
recommendation. I don't do options myself, but they seem to be a
great guide. And I definately agree with your advice, when we touched
13.13, I sold my car, my house, and my liver, and stuck the proceeds
into F.
Gonna need that liver back when we hit 14, it will be sorely abused...

What a wild week for F. I've been fully committed since last August
and have weathered a few dips, but I don't think any were as bad as
yesterday and today. Somewhere around 1.50 difference from the high
yesterday to the low today. I was lucky enough to sell a condo that I
bought many years ago in Dec 2008 so I had a bunch of cash to play

I wouldn't worry to much. I have made a killing on this stock playing
options the past two weeks. Calls, then bought some puts yesterday,
and turned it back to calls today. I really expected this to happen
today with all the news and options expiring today. I think next week
will bring it closer to $14 again. I saw this site called

if you're writing covered calls on a stock that is trending higher,
one of the better scenarios is to sell the calls, pocket the $ and
have the calls go unexercised b/c the price didnt move high enough
before expiry date. you keep you $, you keep your shares, and your
shares are continuing to trend up. win, win, win scenario. you want

Yea boomer since I've been watching this every single option friday
has been beaten down hard.
But you wanna get out of any options well before then just because the
exponential time value decay really eats ur ass inside 30 daysl

I dont know crap about options, many have said it is best to sell 1
month before expiration, maybe they are right?

volume spike again. it looks like they're not gonna let this go over
14 today. most likely b/c they want the 14 calls to expire
unexercised - they get to keep both their money and their shares.
they threw around 3 billion into the fray so far today. if this is
the case, next week F will start rallying again.
