The message is clear. You have to get out of the way. Take everyting
off the table tomorrow  and short.. short.. short.. till it's over..
and not a single blade of grass stands...

this is how the world ends, not with a bang, but a whimper..

Bahahahahahahahahahah!!  I thought that that was yer last post.  Going
negative again?  Well the jobless claims came in better than expected
as well as ism and productivity numbers.  Looks like a general market
pop today.  Bad day to get negative.

I smell the Bull, but to see the Bull we have to break 14.8, If it
closes close to 14.5, then tomorrow we may very well see "Change". If
it closes under 14.4, then I need to clean my nose.

I took some very slim profits today. 4%, 5%, and 12% (MTL), but I took
them. I did not want to risk it on tomorrow.  I figure the dow may go
up 300 points, and I missed a 5 or 10% move, but if it crashes 10% I
will have lost too much.

I do not like the relationship between dollar weakness and the rise of
the stock market at this moment.

I can foresee a scenario in which decline in unemployment, will lead
to the strengthening of the dollar, which will then ironically lead to
the decline of stock prices. In other words, I think a good jobs
report tomorrow may strengthen the dollar, which in turn will lead to
a big sell off.  Rapid increase in employment would not necessarily be
good for stocks.  I guess it is a contrarian position.

Ok Profit, your unemployment doesn't matter anymore. GE is too
diversified to fly by, and my thoughts have been blessed now.
Who do you think feeds Obama about "Green energy" ideas?  Who's his
advisor.
Hedge funds now have been given red light. Well in reality they sold
puts for 14,15,16 and they need them to be worthless, and they longed
calls on the way back.
But the new bottom for GE will be 16, especially with lower dollar
( this one is my own speculation, it could be 15, but there will be
sick resistance)
GE will kill everyone's doubts, and will see 17 this year.
MARK MY WORDS B***H, otherwise Profit, you'll drop the soap again to
hedge fund managers.

John and sickman, thanks for heads up on the options volume education,
it puts missing pieces together.

Gentlemen, cheers.

I most certainly missed this jump. But I did win on the others stocks
I sold. I am neutral at the moment. Waiting for how things play out. I
would be happy to see GE go up here.. I own GE in my Roth, and I most
definitely would not short it here. I have no idea where the market is
headed now. The unemployment number came in worse than expected, but
it was actually what I wanted. The job market is weak enough that I do
not see a rally in the dollar happening. So I will be getting long
again, as I see a bit of clarity about the direction now. Unless
things look bad, then I will stay in cash but put some money into a
bearish etf. not too much..

I am not buying it. I think a smack down is coming. If it is not at
S&P at 1070, then at 1080. The dollar is strengthening, and so far
that has been a bad sign. I would be more bullish on GE and putting
money to work, if the dollar was weakening. But the fact that it is
strengthening, tells me we may be in store for a major sell off in the
afternoon. Unless, and this is an important unless, the dollar weakens
into the close.

Ok watch, you're looking into too much details here, too much math.
$16 is on Monday/Tuesday. Short it when it breaks $18 in December to
$16-$17. Thats a much better bet.
Dow is going to 10,200 next week, then 10,500. Cut out the nonsense.
Direction is clear.

Even if today marks a trend reversal, it's highly unlikely to see a
spike of this sort without profit-taking sometime in the next few
days.  Check the 6-month chart, and you will see the pattern.

Well I'm sure you're correct, but $16 next week will be a big relief
for me. And  when it touches $17, I REALLY don't care.
The stock was used as a yoyo by hedgefunds to play with puts and
calls, and this marks the stop sign for these trading levels because
it was getting rediculous. Without the upgrade it'd go to $13 today.
With all the future opportunities out there, and green energy era, GE
is positioned better than anyone take massive profits, and inflation
on the loop will give it a boost.
Not to say that their loan losses are not them from growing, but $17
for that firm? give me a break, well worth it.
Next year it's $20-$25. The stock will have a real move when Goldman
marks it up.

Superman,

I would definitely not short here. Too risky. And if it true that
today marks a trend reversal, I want to figure out a new strategy
before I do anything. If the dollar can strengthen against the Euro
and the stock market can go up at the same time, it is back to the
blackboard for me. Which is  cool. It was becoming old to follow the
dollar down. I would love to see the dollar go up and stocks go up...
nice vacation in Europe  then next summer. then..

Profit,

The dollar doesn't matter at this point to $17 pathway, even $18. The
dollar is for $20 pathway, and Goldman upgrade will hit a homerun
before March and GE will see $20, I bet on that.
Morgan Stanley already upgraded it to $20. JPMorgan $17, Bernstein and
Openheimer $18.
It's $17, consider it done.
Let me know what your strategy is once you figure it out, you've got
some "shot" talent. I'd like to learn from you, cuz the bear part of
the brain is numb for me, even though I had a gut feeling of $14.40
being low.
FYI, without the upgrade, GE would be $13 today.
Last but not least, GE upgrade marks new support levels for Dow at
10,000, and all the bears, remember 80% of the companies beat
estimates.
We're on the growth pattern.

Stick to me,
Your Superman!
