No spammers or MEAN POSTS PLEASE. Many of us are getting goofed up on
the socalled dollar/carry trade. If we short, the dollar gets weaker and stocks get pushed up
If we Long GE, the dollar gets stronger and this pushes stock
If we plan on the comcast deal anything could happen...
Looking for everyones best educated guess and if so why !
GE is just languishing !!!!!!!!!!!! You must Sign in before you can post messages.

The way I see it, unless there is a hell
of a lot of good news on the homefront and for the company I think that this PPS is heading down to the the 12's for a test of a low very soon. Just my opinion.

How Will this immeadiate news of Warren Buffet purchasing Burlington
Northern Railroad. The stock futures which were down 90 points are now down only 40 points, Warren has moved markets and so GE maybe unaffected today or may go with Railroad sentiment. GE usually goes with Banks, but Buffet is stating THIS IS A BET ON AMERICA " ALL IN BET ON THE UNITED STATES". He is GOD ! Now can I make any moeny in GE, Bet Up or Down ?

I just really want to know how a Comcast Deal would affect GE - I
would say that would have to positive news... GE shareholders would as I understand it, get a stake in a NBC which would they be bought out at a premium by comcast.... cant hurt right? On Nov 3, 8:23 am, Superman <igor.ras...@gmail.com> wrote:

The way i see it is that GE is still in it neck deep with its GE
capital woes. When they get that straightened out, along with the other investment plans discussed above, we could see this make a slow but sure turn around. I feel there is still going to be tons of unfavorable data to come in following months so i wouldnt be surprised if we do see the pps in the 13s. Theres my 2 cents :). Wait until next week, then go long GE. There are lot's of puts
written on GE at 16, which means that the big brokerage houses can scare you big-time into buying their puts as protection as they drive down the price by selling GE, then right before expiration, start buying GE back driving up the price and making the protection worthless. They get you both ways - you can't fight it, but you can tag along and catch some scraps. On Nov 3, 7:42 am, sol <zxcqwe...@hotmail.com> wrote:

John and Sickman and all thank you for responding. I actually did well
trading in and out of GE yesterday becuse there was no dramatic up or down. This stock used to be great for a guy like me that traded but di not want the floor to drop out from under him. I am awaiting to almost a 30 minutes after trading has started to dive in.. Comcast is now up 74 cents after they realeased quarterly stating they beat the street. GE is up but I fear that is because it has dropped so much the last 2

Eh after such a big downward move there'll bound to be a bounce for
all the daytraders out there. But really it all hinges on GECC's mortgage exposure. I've posted this time and time again....GECC ISN'T a bank (officially) so they don't have to mark to market their declining assets. They only need to take writedowns on loans that go bad or if they sell their commercial properties for substantially less than they paid for them. Until Immsmelt pulls his head out of his arse and sacks the 'executives' that thought investing at the top of a market was a good idea and instead of dumping they're going to hold on and hope that the loans don't all go bad then nothing will change. Thanks John. When you say you wouldnt stay too long in that position,
you're referring to puts? I have 40 calls for novembers at 15, and im worried. I have 80 more calls in Jan, March and further. I need to write some calls for November to recoup some losses. Do you think it's a good idea to write calls now or before end of the year not much going to happen? On Nov 4, 2:53 pm, John <harti...@eos.net> wrote:

It seems to be safe to say the stock is likely to break $14. I'm not
sure sure where you're coming with the time frame, who's to say the bearish zone won't be there for 3 months? I've seen that before. On Nov 4, 4:14 pm, John <harti...@eos.net> wrote:

Well for now if you got long at $16 and $15 then the only hope for the
short term is to pray that GE breaks $14 then you can have a chance at averaging down. But at it's current level I'm still up 63% so for me...eh. On Nov 4, 12:15 pm, Superman <igor.ras...@gmail.com> wrote:

GE is way oversold right now. There is strong support at the
$14.00-14.25 level. I'm playing this one by $15 December calls. I think that if the market continues to rally into the end of the year, GE is poised to get back to $16 by the end of the year. Morgan Stanley's price target on GE is $20. On Nov 3, 7:03 am, sol <zxcqwe...@hotmail.com> wrote:

The majority of Calls today for Nov expiration are again at 15 strike
price, which indicates to me that the stock will bounce around this week, then move in earnest above 15 next week, with a 50:50 chance of breaking 16 late in the options expiration week. Nothing significant on new Nov Put volume today, but I would not
