The integrated oils (XOM, CVX, COP) look cheap here with oil trading
above $65. My view is that they are being held down by the hedged
short Integrated/long Oil Service  trade which is due for an unwind
now and should take the Integrateds higher by 20-25% from here.

Any one else with a different view? Looking to stimulate some
discussion here on the topic. Thanks

I may be more simple minded, but I think their cheap and being held
down because people just don't trust the oil rally. Another quarter
with oil in this range and the integrated, oil field service, and E&Ps
will all start heading higher. Of course, for oil to remain at these
levels earnings season has to go fairly well. If it doesn't I think
this rally might turn around. Long term though oil stocks do look
cheap.

I agree for the most part. What is your take on the earnings reports
due in a couple of weeks?
In my opinion, the analysts have been slow in revising their estimates
and are basing their
figures on < $50 oil.

I think most of the Integrateds have had a blockbuster quarter and the
stock prices have to catch up.
