I wonder too.  It keeps going up and down.  I wish they would split it
and maybe then we could see some progress with it.

I don't know.  If you look at the stock compare to other defense
companies (NG, GD, SAIC, BA), they're all pretty much in line over the
last few months.  I think people are nervous as to whether Lockheed
can keep up with their recent profits.

There has also recently been a lot of scrutiny from Congress over out
of control spending by government contractors which can end up
lowering profits.  With the recent news that Lockheed gave money back
to the government, it looks like they're trying to look tough when it
comes to reigning in costs.

I sure think it will shoot up to over &100 soon b/c of many defense
projects hava been signed by Gov

It seems to be creeping up there and staying higher.  I wish they
would split it and then maybe all of the mad selling and buying would
stop.

Look back about 7 years and see what happened when they split.  It
went from 50 to 16.  But that was after a failed attempt to buy/merge
Northrup Grumman.

Seems like there is massive buying prior to their quarterly profits,
followed by profit taking/selling. Otherwise, this is a well operated
company with a future. Not to mention that they are on the cutting
edge of technology, which means they will have more business
opportunities in an ever complex world.
