Yes, the moon is getting full again.

Agreed... if Apple does the next iPhone well, I might buy one. I don't
think they'll get it right on the second try though.

Apple has sold over a 1.1 million iPhones in the course of a few
weeks.  They got it right, Matt.

I think I know where you're coming from.  You're very technical,
equipment and software wise, but you have to realize that Apple is (at
least for now) primarily a consumer electronics firm.  People all
around me are buying iPhones, and they don't know if the network is
2.5 or 3.0 or 6.28 -- it works for them.  Sure, those who need a
faster network won't go to the iPhone now (or maybe ever), but Apple
is doing just fine.

I'm jumping back on the apple train.  I was stupid enough to cash out
at $150, my gut kept telling me "NO NO NO, why did you do that! It's
going to CLIMB! MORE!" and bought into crox, did some shorts... and
felt like the guy in the back missing out.  Bought back in today.
With all of apple's future products and everything going on it will
only be going up.  Wonderful company.

Now that Piper's raised their target to $250, $300 isn't seeming like
such a crazy prediction, is it?  Especially if you read the details on
Piper's note -- they're claiming their model is actually very
*conservative* in its projections of both revenue and profit.

huff - analysts estimates are for the next 12 months...so Piper thinks
we can see 250 within a year...not necessarily within 2 months, as you
are predicting. I'd love to see it, but let's be somewhat realistic
here.

Of course those analyst estimates are for 12 months out. The estimates
for Apple, however, have been repeatedly raised in just a few short
months. If analysts continue to raise their targets at the rate they
have been raising them the past 6 or 8 months, the $250 target will
become a $350, $400, or even $500 target within 2 or 3 months--making
a $300 price by Jan '08 seem quite possible. Also, by their own
admission, these particular estimates are quite conservative
(recognizing only 50% of what actual iPhone revenue might be, for
example).  Anyway, my point was that with analysts raising their
targets so substantially and so frequently, the $300 by Jan '08
prediction doesn't seem so wild really.

We'll see what iPhone adoption in European markets looks like come
early November. If there are lines of customers waiting to get an
iPhone, $250 by January is not only realistic, it's likely.
