Except there were more people. Oh, and it's near the Louvre. But other
than that, pretty much the same maple, glass, and colored tee shirts.

I gotta admit, I was totally impressed that half of Paris turned out
for a free T-shirt and a few handclaps.  No wonder Steve is CEO of the
decade.  It's a darn shame that he can't show up at every opening or
appear in a video telecast or something.
An Apple store opening has become a festival of sorts.  It's
definitely the Cult of Apple.  Awesome.  It would take the people at
the end of the line all day to get into the store.  I hope the NYC
Upper West Side store opening has crowds that huge.  Unlike some six-
person Droid queue.

BTW, HardMac of France said the line for the opening reached a figure
of about 6,000 eager visitors.  Whew!

Since MSFT is no threat, why are you so obsessed with them?

And if AAPL has no threats, why are you so concerned with what other
companies are doing?

Actually, a company like Microsoft - bloated, slow, and living in a
castle built 10 years ago - is just about the best competition Apple
could have. Microsoft is no longer outmaneuvering anyone.

I just like to contrast a company that has enough genuine appeal to
pull off a stunt like this, and one that settles for the retail space
next to the Earring Pagoda and the Hat Factory in the Scottsdale mall.

And I also like the fact that Apple will probably see several hundred
million dollars in European revenue direct from customers now, instead
of through retailers. They are opening 2 more stores in France and
several more elsewhere in Europe.

Windows 7's market share seems to disagree with your statement...
they've definitely outmaneuvered Apple. They've doubled OS market
share while spending less on advertising. Apple is all bark and no
bite.

Apple is trying to sell people the image of an invincible platform to
the masses when the reality is that it's the first one to get hacked
when tested and lack of malware is due to lack of market share.

They sell what they call the "fun" computer, but it doesn't play
games.

They sell a phone that sucks as a phone... worldwide.

They censor their own help forums in order to keep their image
favorable.

A company can sustain a false image for only so long before either...

1. There is a public backlash
2. The competition gives their products a stylish update

#2 should read:  Till everyone tries to copy Apple

No computer is perfect but overall satisfaction numbers have been in
Apple's favor now for some time...good advertising and style only gets
you so far, and Apple has backed it up with costumer satisfaction.
It's Microsoft's turn to be the company with only a few creepy
supporters while Apple becomes more and more accepted.  Don't be that
guy

little mattie, you're such a tool!
You can only sustain your false image of knowing something for only so
long before either.....
1. everyone on the forum gets it you're a blubbering blowhard wanker
2. your stupid assertions begin to catch up with you (where is the
zoooooon you touted as "NUMBER ONE ON THE AMAZON LIST IPHONE KILLAH"
today, you doofus?)
Please, please, please stay a microslop enthusiast! Your mentality is
certainly better suited to that platform (endless meaningless tasks,
pointless actions, learning the ballmer monkey ball dance, etc) and I
would hate it if you caught on to the greatness of apple and began to
tout the company- that would be a very bad sign for the future but I'm
not worried, I don't think that's going to happen, troll boi!

I'm so tired of the "everyone copies Apple" thing. It's just not
true.

No one is copying Apple otherwise Apple would have filed a gazillion
different patent-infringement lawsuits. The only patent-infringement
lawsuits I've seen are all against Apple. Seems that the almighty
fruit company has been ripping everyone else off.

In fact, The iPhone's history puts it's initial development at around
2002-2003. Microsoft Surface was developed around 2000-2001... Apple
ripped off touch/multi-touch computing from Microsoft. Oh wait... they
just TWEAKED it by making a limited function gesture set work on a
handheld device instead of a table... yeah.

The idea for the Newton was even a rip-off of a Casio's device line
that was launched 9 years prior. Nokia introduced the first smartphone
in 1996 (the Nokia 9000 Communicator), so I guess Apple ripped them
off as well.

Palm also developed the GUI layout that the iPod Touch and iPhone use.
Good thing that IP was fumbled around during the death of PalmSource.
Apple dodged that legal bullet.

Coverflow wasn't even developed by Apple... it was purchased.

So, Apple has been ripping everyone else off for a good while.

We'll see how those customer satisfaction numbers roll with Snow
Leopard and Windows 7 on the table.

Snow Leopard has given Mac users the biggest number of problems ever
reported in recent years and Windows 7 is getting nothing but praise.

Asus has already beat Apple in reliability 2 years in a row.
http://computers.toptenreviews.com/laptops/asus-beats-apple-in-reliab...

Asus has the best quality hardware on the market. Asus machines are
cheaper than Macs and they look amazing. According to most (if not
all) published reviews, Windows 7 is more reliable than Snow Leopard
(causing fewer problems). Windows 7 has been repeatedly reviewed as
being as easy (if not easier) to use as Mac OS X. Android phones are
chipping away at the iPhone. More phones are en-route. Zune HD is
chipping away at the iPod line. The entire battlefield has changed.

Buddy, You have no idea what you're talking about. Just buy as much
Apple as you can afford and watch what happens. In the mean time, go
buy a dick towel.

Hey little mattie- thanks for suggesting a gift for me but that's more
the kind of thing you'd enjoy! You do seem like the kind of guy who'd
want/need/enjoy/and use a dick towel!!
I particularly like this quote from your last post- just delightful!
"Snow Leopard has given Mac users the biggest number of problems ever
reported in recent years and Windows 7 is getting nothing but praise."
Second half, you've redefined praise as "constant complaints about
terrible problems" and the first half of it- well, I guess you're
right- a few tiny problems ARE more than "ever reported in recent
years" with OSX- Really, little mattie, you're sounding more and more
and more desperate in trying to find something good to say about msft.
Maybe you should give up being the perennial self-appointed pumper of
microslop and just admit that aapl is way way better than the idiotic
horse you backed- hmmmm?
