don't call me stupid
I've been doing good trading AAPL options last time but this Dubai
thing screwed me

bought those on Nov-23

should I sell at a loss or average down now?
or what is the best exit strategy in this case?

expecting to hear some experienced insight

if it gets to 3, sell.

"doubling down" at market open might not be a bad play, but get out by
noon and cut your losses. the difficult thing for you, is there is no
major news by then and  AAPL is weak right now. Quite a few inny's
dumped recently and / or are dumping for  . . .sad to say  . . gold.

And what does GOLD go into?  Electronics and Jewlery.  pfft

But there is better growth prospects there with the recent comodities
gains and China thinking holding an extra 5K tons is a good thing (you
have to guard it!).

I'd rather hold the equiv. in securities, but that's just me.

Had you bought the Jan 210's or 200's you would be far better off (Jan
they release earnings, and holiday sales will come out).

good luck!  today is about execution

I would sell. DIJA may be due to a small correction if you look at its
chart, just like its been duin last 4 months and that would bring AAPL
even lower. By the time it gets back up you may loose time value in
you options and the stock would have to be even higher than when you
boght those just to break even. I would not average down with these
options either, its just adding more mental and $$ commitment to a so
far loosing positoins. I would wait for DIJA to oversell, then buy 190
or 195 calls on AAPL again, rather than sit and wait until 210 calls
recover.
