If I hadn't looked on the front page of MacRumors.com I might say you
were full of it, but it looks like AT&T might have let the cat out of
the bag. We will see I guess.

Would generate some good buzz going into WWDC. For Apple to just slip
out a new 3G iPhone must mean they have "one more thing" up their
sleeve for June. We'll have to wait and see...

YES, I've been saying this for some time now, I truly believe the WWDC
will make a never before seen uproar with the unveiling of the iTouch,
an oversized iPhone that will be the handheld Mac of the future.

Mind you, all these gadgets have been developed with the ecossystem in
mind and that makes them, at least up to some point, extensions of the
Macintosh.

That is to say 2 things:

1) they will not have full "autonomy" at least not for a while, until
the desktop computers fade away and only handheld ones linger on
2) many iPhone/iTouch will generate a sale of the corresponding Mac
(e.g. MacBook/Pro, iMac etc.)

So this is actually a brilliant business strategy that is actually
called Viral Marketing. It started with Hotmail in which every little
email sent to friends had this tiny link at the bottom saying "Get
your own private email address at hotmail".

The thing is, my friends, Viral marketing acts well, like viruses do,
in other words it grows exponencially!

Think about it.

IMHO, the iTouch business will double that of the Mac in a few years
time while the Mac will also be uplifted by the iPhone. That makes for
a gigantic sized Apple Inc. with the corresponding AAPL price. There,
my friends, is where Steve Jobs wants to go.

Let us join him in praise and say Alleluia! Heil Jobs and the jesus
phone :D

But tomorrow has definitely a high probability because of the cat AT&T
has let out of the bag, they wouldn't be putting that online like that
if it wasn't just about to be released.

So I say tomorrow.

Or next week :D

Ole Steve got beat again. It is becoming a habit that RIMM can move
faster than Apple.  Apple HAD no choice but to report the outages in
Internet phone sales.  It had to make Jobs look like he was on top of
it.  Now that that is said give me my one star.

I have no idea what you just said, but you seem to be implying that
RiM is going to get the Bold to market before the v2 iPhone?

Not the case.  Most tech companies like to talk about stuff way before
they ship it, but Apple does not.  The bold isn't shipping until
"summer".  It is possible that it will ship before the v2 iPhone, but
nobody knows that yet.

By "outage" do you mean out of stock?  Apple didn't report it.  They
acknowledged it when asked, because it's kind of hard to hide that
type of info when your website says "currently unavailable"

By "beat again" do you mean that somehow RiM has beat Apple to market
at sometime in the past?  Please elaborate.

If you're going to troll, at least make a little effort to be clear
and factual.  Frankly I only responded because I'm bored, I generally
try to avoid responding to flamebait.

Oh, and here's your 1-star.

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Apple never confirms anything and if you follow this stock at all you
know Steve Jobs is the most secretive man. This was a "me too"
response that Apple was forced to make today.

By "beat again" do you mean that somehow RiM has beat Apple to market
at sometime in the past?  Please elaborate.
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Uh yeah, RIMM has beat Apple into most markets around the world where
Jobs is still holding out.  Russia, China, India etc etc etc.

I guess you need some positive reassurance in your life and can't
handle adversity.

Saying that Apple doesn't confirm things is not completely correct.
In this case they were true to form.  They acknowledged that they were
out of stock when asked, but would not comment on why they were out of
stock or when they would replenish.  Classic Apple response.

Here is the extent of Apple's confirmation "``We're currently out of
stock,'' Apple spokeswoman Natalie Kerris said today in an interview.
Both the 8-gigabyte and 16- gigabyte models are unavailable. She
declined to say when Apple will replenish inventory or comment on
supply at retail stores."

So, as far as beating Apple, of course they beat Apple into these
markets.  They were in India before there was an iPhone.  Every mobile
phone maker has beat Apple to market numerous times, just as most
manufacturers beat Apple to market with MP3 players and we've seen how
that turned out.

The real race started once Apple shipped the original iPhone and the
other makes perceived the threat and scrambled to respond.  Now the
race is on.  My money is on Apple and RiM.  Literally.

You're wasting your time Craig, that guy is just sucking your energy.
It's an old trick of skeptics, called vampirism.

The guy just comes out to provoke, then he spends no energy but keeps
provoking until some gullible well intentioned person falls for it and
starts arguing with his gibberish.

Come on, the guy even is long on AAPL?

RIMM beat Apple? Sure, they had phones way before Apple had any. How
relevant is that? As relevant as a 3 year old saying my dad is better
than yours.
