Kia,

Why do you expect a breakout at 160.40?
Analysis please!

I disagree, the number is 160.00, then it will ramp if the market
cooperates

I said...'if' or 'when'

Once that psychological barrier is broken, the blind euphoria
begins...the shark feeding frenzy will be crazy. Set your triggers up
now because you will be able to get in 'manually' at your own
price...otherwise, you will overpay

there is something like 150k share waiting to be sold at the 160
mark.  So unless the MM start their own movement I don't see us
breaking 160 today but ending pennies away.

Why is ~160 a psychological barrier?  I remember fighting 100, and at
the time, that made sense.  But I don't understand why masses of
people consider ~160 a ceiling to break through.

If anything, I would think ~160 could trigger sell off.

Its not 160 Risky, if you analyze stocks more closely...you will see
that the real barrier is after passing the .35 cents mark (on most
fast moving stocks)

Also Izzy, 160 is the big barrier because it was the ORIGINAL target
price for the past 4-5 months of most analysts (even though now its
been raised to 185) ...so, by AAPL breaking that barrier, it will
release the tension.

The MMs are gonna have to break this one...not the little people
(unless one of you guys got the balls? ha ha:)

I will admit, there is some sense in that, although not the in depth
analysis I was hoping for.
Let me ask you this, since I put the words breakout in your mouth,
what exactly do you expect after 160?

a) 160 is new floor?
b) steady growth? if so, what %gains in what time period
c) accelerated growth? if so, what %gains in what time period
d) other? please explain

Thanks

If?    You don't really think 160 won't be broken on the run up to
earnings right (i.e. next week or the next)?

To me a breakout is the ability of a stock to move higher with less
resistance.  160 has so far served as a ceiling.
Once it breaks 160 I believe it will trade more freely.

Good Luck

Izzy & Edward

The reason I am a very successful LONG and DAY trader is because I
don't strive to answer those questions because those are not the
questions to be asking (in my opinion). I trade strictly on
technicals, daily momentum, the activity of the MMs. Research is not
needed because everything is priced into their movements and the
'dot' ...thus, my near 100% trading record...not bragging, just
telling it like it is.

I hope you guys make good $$$ today !! ;P

I think the conception that AAPL has any resistance at all is perhaps
misplaced.  Steady growth...few red days before earnings, more stead
growth.  Barring any negative market sentiment.  Whereas AAPL may or
may not close over 160 today, it will definitely close over 160 on
monday and continue to move upwards.  I don't see resistance entering
till 170+ pre earnings.

What are my next moves now that the AAPL and beasts of RIMM have been
released?

Well, I'm gonna take the extra $14,000 I collected today and have a
seriously fun night tonight:)

I hope you kicked ass today,
Kiaro
