Sorry I've been gone.
Ratty is correct.
I have to admit I hadn't spotted the resizable background. I was so
disgusted with the white text on near white that I didn't explore
further. Quite honestly I haven't seen such a gaff as the resizable
background image on a major corporate web site since 1995! What
morons!
And exactly Ratty, no attention to detail. This company will fail!

yes... this is a positive sign, for long investors and traders.  what
it means is that there is a large amount of money flowing into stock.
$151 total flow with up/down of 139/100 is one of the highest ones i
have seen in awhile, but the block trades at $166 and 959/100 is even
more impressive.  for comparison although aapl commonly shows up on
the buy and sell list it rarely does in triple digits.

Thanks for the education Ratty. Here's some for you:

Tesco plc is a UK-based international grocery and general
merchandising retail chain. It is the largest British retailer by both
global sales and domestic market share, with profits exceeding £3
billion. It is currently the third largest global retailer based on
revenue, behind Wal-Mart and France's Carrefour, but second largest
based on profit, ahead of Carrefour. Originally specialising in food
and drink, it has diversified into areas such as clothing, consumer
electronics, financial services, telecoms, home, health and car
insurance, dental plans, retailing and renting DVDs,CDs, music
downloads, Internet services and software.

Tesco Personal Finance recently celebrated its eleventh anniversary
and over the last decade it has grown to be the UK’s most successful
supermarket bank. Customers have a choice of 28 products ranging from
savings accounts and credit cards to car and travel insurance.

Tesco Telecoms offers simple, straightforward telecoms services with
great value tariffs. Customers can benefit from our mobile network,
home phone service, internet access and an internet phone service.
Tesco Telecoms also offers a wide range of telecoms products in store
and online.
--

Seeing as they're the 3rd biggest retailer in the world, I'd consider
it a fair comparison. and considering I was simply pointing out the
type of business, for any US readers unaware of the name, it was
hardly worth the effort.

Er, excuse me, but Tesco is more than just a supermarket that sells
'some white goods'.

Tesco is NOT the Wallmart of the UK. Asda is the Walmart of the UK as
they are owned by Walmart and use the same signage etc.

Tesco is a large supermarket that sells some white goods.

Walmart is a huge store that sells everything.

I thought this was fairly interesting.

I finally bought an iPhone last weekend and took a new contract with
it. I then phoned my provider to cancel my old contract which I've had
for 8 years. Without even telling them why they said, "I guess you've
bought an iPhone".

I find that fairly revealing and significant.

I'm a capitalist.  It's the best system for allocating resources
humankind has ever devised.  There's doubt in my mind about that.  Ask
any AAPL shareholder.

But not everything needs to bear a profit motive.  I believe
healthcare is one of those things.  Injecting profit into the
relationship between providers/insurers and patients is utterly
toxic.  It creates incredibly perverse incentives (ie, providers are
incentivized to cut costs and thereby reduce care, and individuals are
incentivized to over-medicate and push up rates) and a system that
literally thrives on obfuscation and red tape.  Insurers in this
equation are the classic middle men, raking in millions in fees for
their shareholders and CEOs while providing relatively little
benefit.

The result is predictable.  We pay more for healthcare in this country
than ANYONE, anywhere else.  And yet we're something like 19th
overall.  That's idiotic.

Not everything needs to bow to the almighty profit motive.
