1 contract is good for 100 shares
You have the right to buy 100x100 shares at $7.50 a share
You paid .18 for this right per share
So your break even is $7.68.........[7.50 + .18]

You need the stock to go over that by expiration.

so if stock is at 12.50
option at 7.50

Your .18 option would be worth around $5

less commissions of course
Who is your broker?

Good luck.

Than from this post, surely you know what number I'm thinking of.

I think if Jesus Christ came down and blessed AMD the market would
still sell off. What's it going to take to break out of this narrow
trading range?

LOL @ D'z calling others pathetic, insulting them and then crying
about Briguy76's post having "so much anger."
D'z, you've revealed a lot about your own issues here - it's good you
finally realized how pointless it is to try to argue with people
smarter than you.

Briguy, Why so emotional over a stock?

Gordon Gecko's #1 rule: Never get emotional over a stock, it clouds
your judgement.

D'z and I are humble investors looking to make a buck, we follow sound
rules and trends to keep earning.

Evangelists and their money are soon parted in this market.

much substance in my reply than there was in your post.

Yeah agreed, there need to be more watershed events in the next few
months for it to go into the double digits.  It is not out of the
question, but a lot of good things need to keep happening.  Strong
earnings for two quarters and it can be over 10.  Now that they got
rid of Ruiz, no distraction from that..  Now if they settled for 3
billion the price would probably be at 10 :)

Actually Ghost was right on the mark yesterday you moron or should I
call you D'z Nutts! If the market hadn't gone up triple digits we
would have had a down day. We finished up slightly because it was an
up day but we did see a selloff in the last few minutes. AND we did go
up on NEWS about AMD's financial situation moron! How else do we find
out about these things, osmosis? I think on my own scumbag, you talk
for yourself. I bought my AMD before I even knew this person, but he/
she/ it is a good resource to bounce ideas off of and to correspond
with...maybe you are upset that nobody cares what your ideas
are....awwwwwww.

News didn't send this stock higher. A solid change in their financial
situation did.

The rise from $2 to $5/6 was simply following the market back up and
wasn't due to "news".

It's pathetic how some of you run to Ghost for reassurance and
propping up.

He said AMD was going to be down yesterday and he was right....for 5
whole minutes of the day.
He's gives a lot of good information and different perspectives that
are good to see, but damn, no one has a crystal ball on any stock.

"Tell me what to do, Ghost. Should I buy? Should I sell? What are you
going to do today? What should I eat for lunch?"

Use him as a resource rather than a crutch for your inability to think
on your own.
