The only reason for AMD to exist is so that intel doen't have to worry
as much about monopoly charges. You want to put your money into a
company whose sole existence is to provide "competition" for Intel, be
my guest. AMD makes decent chips, but what they are really good at is
not making a profit for the shareholders.
