Paul Foley has a different attitude than the rest of Mesa's
management.  Regional experience and real knowledge of the industry
will definitely work to Mesa's advantage.  I think they may pull
through!

You have to be kidding, right?

Foley decimated both Blue Sky and Mesaba Airlines during his tenure.
He was brought in to Mesa for one reason, and one reason only... to
take Mesa into Bankruptcy.  His unique skill set in the industry in
the Bankruptcy and liquidation process of an airline.  Bye, Bye Mesa!

yep.  Take a look at Big Sky Airlines.  Liquidated.  Take a look at
what he did at Mesaba Airlines.  BK and sold off to Northwest.  That
is what he does, hatchet man.  There to BK and sell the assets.

Foley is not an operations person.

Mesa Sucks!

-Buying the Lawsuit agianst them will also push the stock into a
higher range. The little Airline that could!!!

Hm...,

Yet, there's roughly 100 million due to lenders early next year in the
middle of a credit crisis.

Still another lawsuit pending with a major carrier in Hawaii

And more competition in the form of Mokulele/Republic

They aren't going to post a profit.

Does anyone know the date the Delta lawsuit goes to trial for Mesa?
Delta tried to eliminate Mesa's flying a few months ago but Mesa won
the right to keep flying for Delta until they get their day in court.
Is there any info out there on when that court date is, because losing
their Delta flying would surely impact Mesa stock.

100 million due to lenders in the middle of a credit crisis could
actually be a good thing. this makes it more appealing for the lenders
to extend the debt to a longer term.

Its like being behind on your house payment. If you are the only one
behind on this payment the bank will foreclose and sell the home. If
you and a million other people are behind the band will work with you
to find a solution. America!!

Trust me the bank will still foreclose on you. Mesa is in a bad spot,
it has lost a great deal of cash and has loans due 1Q 2009. It has not
found cost savings as other firms have, and it has legal issues with
several airlines. Worst of all future as a Delta Connection operator
is looking poor. I would not be surprised if they file chapter 11 in
2Q 2009.

Mesa will get de-listed on December 15,2008.  I am betting they will
file for bankruptcy before they release their year end results.
Mesa's year end is Sep 30, 2008.

Here is the press release from Mesa's website.

Mesa Air Group, Inc. ("Mesa") (Nasdaq: MESA) announced today that it
received a Nasdaq Staff Determination letter (the "Notice") on June
18, 2008 indicating that Mesa fails to comply with the minimum bid
price requirement for continued listing set forth in Marketplace Rule
4450(a)(5) (the "Rule"). Therefore, in accordance with Marketplace
Rule 4450(e)(2), Mesa has been provided 180 calendar days, or until
December 15, 2008, to regain compliance. If, at anytime before
December 15, 2008, the bid price of Mesa's common stock closes at
$1.00 per share or more for a minimum of 10 consecutive business days,
Mesa will have regained compliance with the Rule.

Mesa may have dodged a bullet on this one...

http://www.reuters.com/article/ousiv/idUSTRE4AD63P20081114

NYSE has suspended the rule that would delist companies trading for
less than a dollar.

That change will only apply the the NYSE which has its own set of
trading rules. MESA trades on NASDAQ and it is still slated for the
chopping block in less than a quarter.
