My next trade. I'm hated here but read anyway.

If the market tanks, either at the close today in anticipation of the
jobs number or on a shocking jobs number tomorrow morning, I will be
buying Jan 90 calls on the SPY around the 875 level. This market is
going up next week into the Inauguration of Obama and you should
profit on that. XLF is approaching oversold levels.

I know, write the horrible name calling posts about what a jackass I
am.

no name calling. Interesting post....I am selling calls against vlo
and would like it to stay put for awhile.

What month are you selling?

I'm all over the place on this stock. I've been watching the crack
spreads expand quite a bit the last few days, oil has been dropping
while gasoline is rising, which doesn't mean a whole lot cause this
stock is trading on the economy, not spreads (for the moment). This
stock is still clearly in an uptrend but you may be on to something,
it appears we've hit a wall at the $25 level and you should see some
nice time erosion if we just sit around for a while. This stock is UP
85% from the lows... that's a big move, and for it to be sustainable
there needs to be some consolidation in the shares. I know the options
that I've held for more than a couple of days have lost incredible
time value very quickly!

One other thing to consider is the Baltic Dry Index as it relates to
global commerce. That thing has reversed course and has been going up
pretty quickly in the last few days. I'd keep your stop pretty tight,
not that you're asking me.... just putting it out there. You can never
have too much information!

You want to talk about playing Obama, check out CREE, they won a bid
to light up a wing of the pentagon which is being renovated.  4200
light fixtures at about $300 each.  Energy efficient LED lighting
which Obama keeps referring to, LED's blow away CFL bulbs.  This is
the only LED manufacturer I know of to have been lighting up entire
campuses and cities, and now the first to light up a federal building.

It's a spec, but it used to consistently hit the low 30's, then back
to the 20's and channel like that for the longest.
