I saw this as well. Was it true that there was talk of a takeover of
FTO by VLO last year? The price of FTO spiked to almost $33 early
June of 2008. Could we see something like this again?

Hey, I've been watching this company for a little bit now(8 months),
and one thing is for sure they're consistent. I've made good money
from this stock. I'm just watching for the dips and the peaks. I think
this company will stay in the $10-$13 range for a little bit.(unless
there is unforeseen market fluctuations). What do you think?

Can someone spare some thoughts as to why the stock price of
refineries are not going up inspite of the fact that the crude oil
price is coming down drastically. I don't think that the gasoline
price has come down that much, which should equate to saying that the
crack spread has been improving.

FTO and crude oil prices

This stock should go up given the fact that the crude oil is showing
down slide now. Even after the US inventories went down, crude oil is
now at around 126$ per barrel. That should be good news for refiners,
particularly FTO as it has added a new vacuum tower in its El Dorado
refinery.

I think this stock is already showing an upward trend.

With crack spreads at all time highs and demand for oil on rise as
developing nations increase their need for this black gold it is
amazing to me that the brokers would downgrade the sector. This is
certainly not based on anything like waining demand, increased supply

as much as I've read it is one of very few that processes
heavy crude, sour crude. over years it has expanded it
refining operations and last december when it gave a
special dividend it announced it had so much money
on hand it was going to build a "new refinery"...it will

the dollar is driving the price of oil. and people who believe that oil
was in short supply just simply do not know it was the poor value
of the dollar on the in the world market that caused the oil prices
