Subject: What does the next week look like for US Steel?
I have followed [X] US Steel day to day for the past 2 months.
Regretfully, I did not purchase shares of it in the summer, one of my
close friends who also trades feverishly bought options as well as
many shares of it. He sold out at 51 saying that X has appreciated and
would soon need to take a breather. Sure enough 10 days later X drops
to approximately 40$. Now that the stock has corrected itself it is on
course for some new quick gains. We believe it could reach 50$ again
in the next week or two.

In my opinion, X is a very good play in the short and long term.

Anyone else care to share thoughts?

OUprotrader,

I have been trading X for 3 years...It is avery good play short or
long.  This year I got in late at 41 and sold at 46 when I saw the
downtrend ( I have a trader's mentality).  Only made a little bit of $
but better than a loss.  I got out for 2 reasons...one, the sector was
downgraded due to slumping sales and second, earnings is coming up
soon and I think they will miss earnings.  Therfore, there will be a
sell off after earnings, X will go to the 30's and I will jump back in
and ride it up to wherever.  I'm a trader though, I dont believe in
holding stocks for the long term so I play the cycles of X.  Very nice
stock, one of my favorites, always makes me $ even if its not alot.

x is also a good pair trade when matched to the slx. One long while
the other short = great protection

What makes you think it will hit $50?
