Profit taking! If you are long, you have nothing to worry about as
this stock is due to rally to its real value around 6 dollars.  For
those who are not long, too bad.  This is a low volume stock and when
profit is taken, it dives.  Next week traders will come back as the
stock now is a good buy at this price.

There aren't many posts for NOVL.  I love this stock.  I've been
watching it, been in and out of it, and am now in at below 4.  I like
open source and NOVL and Red Hat (I've owned RHT in the past) are
going to benefit in the long run.  Yes, I believe NOVL will be at 6
before the end of the year.  I'm in it for the long haul, and I'm not
even thinking takeover.

And I still love NOVL.  I thought it would move slowly but it is
spiking today.  Any rumors out there, or is it just catching up to all
the good corporate news it's been putting out.

Novell (NOVL) shares are up sharply today after J.P. Morgan analyst
John DiFucci wrote in a research note today that the company may be
signalling that it is willing to be acquired.

DiFucci noted that he held meetings with Novell CFO Dana Russell
yesterday. He writes that Russell “entertained the possibility of
breaking out some parts or of selling the entire company in order to
maximize shareholder value given the current depressed valuation
levels.” DiFucci writes that, while Russell also asserted that
management is making progress in unlocking some of the value of the
company, the discussion about a possible break-up or sale “could
signal the company’s willingness to be acquired.”
