http://www.streetinsider.com/Insiders+Blog/Cramer+Sees+a+Bear+Stearns...

"January 24, 2008 11:38 AM EST

At RealMoney.com, Jim Cramer said he thinks Bear Stearns (NYSE: BSC)
gets acquired. Cramer said even after the subprime debacle, Bear has
good stock trading, good prime brokerage and good fixed income."

The old Cramer reverse Midas touch strikes again.

Man, you need to calm down.  No investment in Bear Stearns is
protected.  Stock investments aren't protected  by the FDIC.  How old
are you?  You should know that.  And Bear isn't even the type of bank
you're thinking of.

If you want protection, put your money in a savings account.  If you
want to lose your ___, invest in Bear right now.

Anyone who has listened to Jim Cramer for more than 5 minutes should
know he has lots of buddies at Bear.  Don't take his advice (ever).

I know a guy who made a 10 million on a double leveraged short today
on BSC.  IWe're about to go celebrate in Hollywood right now.  Sorry
about your lost.  Maybe you should become a bear, and short AMZN to
make your losses back.

Keep your head up.  I lost $80k once, in 5 minutes, then I made $1.8M,
in the next month.  Losses happen.  Staying in the game gets you
Rich.  Just a little food for thought.

I believe we've been in a recession for several months now.  It's only
now that most people are beginning to accept it.  A few more weeks and
it will be officially announced.  By then, we should be at or near a
bottom.

arsh, sorry for the loss.  I don't think you should be too quick to
cut your losses, as most people quickly suggest.  You don't lose money
until you sell.  Hold off until the financials rally again.

hey malon,

If you made 1.8M in one month why would you post over 1000 times on
google finance? (click view profile, its there)

If I was making a hefty sum of money like 1.8M in one month, I
wouldn't have time to post over a thousand times on google finance.

I guess that's the personal preference difference between you and me.
One could argue why a Multi-Million dollar Whole Foods (ticker WFMI)
would post on blogs 1,000s of times.  The answer to your question is:
It's fun.  Once you get money you'll realize that it's just that,
money.  Me posting on a blog is no different than you questioning my
postings.  Just because I have money makes me no different than you (I
just may have more zeros and commas in bank account, but, who cares,
it's just money)

Mind you. Most investors like posting in blogs and forums. Just an
FYI.

But to tell people that he has made so much is quite dubious.

In May 2007 I was in the market to purchase a new house. I spent
several months looking and eventually found the exact house I wanted,
in the neighborhood where I wanted to live. The only problem was that
the house was owned by a speculator/investor who had been unable to
flip it (price too high). The speculator had not paid the mortgage for
several months and the property was already headed for foreclosure and
auction. We made an offer for the property, and submitted credible
financing approval, and attempted a "short sale" (in which the sale
price will not cover the existing mortgages and the lender(s) end up
getting partial payoffs). There were two mortgages on the property --
the first mortgage lender was OK with the short sale, since he was
going to get paid in full. The second mortgage lender was a subsidiary
of Bear Stearns called EMC Mortgage, who stood to get about a $35K
haircut in the deal if they agreed to the short sale. Well, not only
did they not agree to the short sale, but they were arrogant and
impolite. The big, important investment bank acted like they had no
reason to deal with some petty little home buyer. So the property went
to foreclosure and auction. End result: Bear Stearns lost their entire
$70K loan on the property, and we picked it up at auction and are now
happily living in it. Hey, Bear: how do you like that? You're a crap
bank, and you deserve what you get.
