Selling calls is not a good move here. Bear Stearns has proven to defy
all market logic, but how much lower can it go? He'll sell the calls, never be able to buy them back, and be stuck with stock for two years that will eventually be sold at an extreme discount, and won't be able to claim any capital losses until then.
