I bought this stock a couple weeks ago because I read that it had
solid financials and was expanding. So far it has pretty much gone
down everyday since I've owned it. I don't understand the reason for
this. Is this a good stock to own long term? Or, should I get out of
this soon? I read that this stock was a major holding for a hedge
fund, but I'm not sure how relevant that is to what is happening to
its share price.

I'd at least wait until May 6 when the Q1 earnings come out to do
anything. If the stock pops you could be back even in a week, maybe
less. If they miss estimates, then put a stop loss on it, and you're
free from KGC forever.

any clue as to how this stock is expected to do with earnings? It has
been a dreadful past 10 days... is that any indication or not so much?
