  Inflation= Gold as a the currency?

What if gold became the currency for the US... or anywhere else for
that matter?

Check out Saville's article on gold, inflation, and monetary policy on
greenfaucet- called "returning gold to money". This guy discusses how
to get gold from where it is now to a form of money and whether or not
gold will become the unit of exchange in the near future.

I can't see it happening anytime soon-- It would take a complete
overhaul not only of the government and the Fed (which would be gone)
but also of culture, lifestyle, etc.

I think the general public would be far too uncomfortable with gold as
the unit of exchange. A more likely future? A new currency.

It's called the Amero and it's on its way along with the North
American Union. At least that's the rumor.
