"Oracle has refused to compromise with European regulators, Financial
Times reports.
The European Commission is close to rejecting Oracle Corp.'s $7.4
billion acquisition of Sun Microsystems Inc., the Financial Times
reported Tuesday.

The report, citing a person close to the process, says that Oracle,
the world's biggest database maker, has declined to compromise with
the European regulator. Although either side could back down at any
time and offer concessions, the deal is currently deadlocked, the
report says.

If the EC does reject the deal, Oracle could be forced into lengthy
negotiations and potentially have to accept remedies, such as
disposals of parts of Sun's business, to get the deal cleared."

EC sucks. This acquisition is not even close to a monopoly. Amost all
analyst agree this hold up is a joke. JAVA is losing money.
