When is this stock going to see the 20's again?

I bought in at 23 just to see it slip and do a reverse split. Worst
decision I ever made.
I feel like this is going to be a long ride.....

Looks like it is over sold...  It has to go up ( See Dell, HPQ, IBM )
and it will make jump 10 - 12% in one day looks like from $13 to
$15.52...

I could see a buyout. This company will only be profitable when it
changes leadership. Sun has some of the best engineers in the US. It
has some of the worst executives in the world. They have made some
really poor decisions. I would love to take this company private...
but I only have the $600.00 that the gov gave me back. I would hope
that some really rich group could buy this sleeper and retool it. I
know I could take Sun to the Moon. But I only have ...

Thanks,

I would radically change this company. It would no longer rely on
customers for income or media for approval. And yet it would always be
in the news as a showcase of new technology. Sun has had this heritage
of thought. Too bad that thinking failed at the top.

Really?

Because 5 of the last 6 quarters weren't profitable?

And how do YOU propose the company makes money?

>I have the plan drawn out and it never included Sun,

Plan for what? And if it doesn't include SUN why are you posting it
here?

Aguer -
I don't know what kind of company you want Sun Microsystems to be, but
it is a computer hardware/software manufacturer, a goldmine of
technological-innovation, and a customer-oriented not investor-driven
organization to boot. If that isn't what your looking for, this is the
wrong company for you.

Your negative attacks and claims of executive failure are empty,
unsubstantiated, unwarranted and frankly unwelcome on this board. Your
constant complaints that the hardware is too expensive, while the
software is free  grow tiresome. If you don't like it, invest in a
company whose pricing and business model you understand.

All I can figure is that your somebody HOPING to drive down the price
low enough:
- to buy-out Sun,
- to run them outta business, because your a frightened competitor.
- to buy more stock because you know it's about to take off,
- to vindicate yourself because you are a hurt, jaded gambler.

If you were a real Sun Shareholder you would at least hope they do
well; in-spite of occasional criticisms. You've made it abundantly
clear you want them to be bought-out or go-under. There is not the
slightest shred of evidence either will happen. Worse, in an industry
with too few major-players, there's every reason to think
consolidation would be bad for the shareholder, customer, and tech-
industry as a whole. Please be careful what you wish for.

At this point your blatantly spamming the board to suite your personal
agenda, whatever that is.
Your a TROLL. Now leave.

Very Sincerely,
Envision

ps. I hope every one who reads this post ranks it!
pps. This is NOT a one-off attack, it is further supported here:

I do not think that I have done anything other than point out the
obvious. I have not said anything bad about you. The plain truth is
that Sun has some of the best engineers in the world. They truly have
solved some of the most difficult problems.

I am just a disabled epileptic who spends his time building hardware
and software systems. I am working on my own projects. I have no way
to buy the company Sun, except through shares. I can see many new
profitable paths for Sun. But who wants to hear from a disabled
epileptic.

I owned 1000 shares of JAVA for 5 years. I sold them at neither a
profit nor a loss. It was just a waste of time. But I sold this stock
before the split.

I see Sun as having such potential, but the decisions of late made by
the board have troubled me. I did not make these decisions. I had
nothing to do with the board's decision to reverse split the stock.
Open source, please show me a company that is consistantly profitable
through open source. Google, no, Microsoft, no, IBM maybe (but they do
things really differently).

I am writing here for other retail investors like myself who are
wondering what has happened to this incredible company. I know a
little about computer science and am willing to share what I am seeing
with this company. My broker even knew less than I did about this
company. I have done my homework over the years on this company. I am
tired of people telling me how wonderful a crashing company is. This
company lost a billion dollars investing. I wonder if investing was
listed in the prospectus as a form of potential income. If I knew this
information when I held the stock I would have sold it immediatly.

I have written here how to use less power in clusters. I am glad to
see Sun engineers starting to use solid state memory (Flash) as
drives. This reduces energy consumption. But everybody will start
using this commodity technology. This may increase sales if and only
if customers have money to spend on new systems.

I am glad to see Sun is expanding to India. This will increase in
sales.

But the head of sales just bailed to go to HP. Why? A slump in sales.
http://seattlepi.nwsource.com/business/1700ap_sun_microsystems_person...

I do not think Sun will go the way of Wang or others. I just don't see
the stock rising until... Sun has a new tangable direction.

I am currently shorting this stock, Jul 20 puts.
I am up front about my impressions and history with this stock.
I am not a troll.

Apart from the EVP of Sales, the EVP of Operations (Eugene McCabe)
quit as well.     Also, two months ago, the EVP for semiconductors
(David Yen) quit.

So, when Jonathan Schwartz said he'll take responsibility for the
quarterly results, it meant his staff will be jumping ship left and
right.

Sun touted how great is their UltraSPARC T2.    But unfortunately it's
one of those great products that is not generating revenue.

It's amusing how much Sun has always focussed on making fun of:
* HP
* Dell
* Apple
* IBM
* Microsoft

So, is Sun still laughing?!?
So, shareholders/board can continue to drink Jonathan Schwartz's kool
aid.    Or sharedholders/board can demand real accountability and
demand results in the form of profit rather than kool aid.

If Sun Microsytems can perfect the xVM Virtual Box, it might have a
chance to compete with VmWare and sell it at a cheaper price. For
Beign Free and Still A Little buggy. I Can Say I Like It. Although On
Linux, I Cannot Get My Wireless Connection Started.

I have another question about this company's execution. It looks to me
that Sun is having difficulty collecting on financed sales to
customers. I found this on google finance JAVA

Cash from Financing Activities
 03/08      07         06
-293.00  170.00  299.00

It looks like Sun is having to write off income to cover these
financed sales.
I think we can thank the financial companies for this issue. The board
was probably sold a bill of goods about how responsible humans are.
How they are likely to pay back these leases/loans...Ha
I certainly hope this does not continue into the future. Cash/
commodities are king, the rest are SIVs (paper).
