Sun owns mysql, oracle offers some competition to msft. I'd be afraid if oracle doesn't get SUN. Don't you see that msft is going to control everything if we don't get some competition in the market. ORCL is making its case to the EC regulators. It appears they are stressing that the objection to ORCL owning MySQL has no basis in European law and that some of the comments misrepresent the actual state of the database market. IBM would only buy low sell high, like any savy business. If Oracle....when Oracle ...finishes the deal, and moves on , IBM will be kicking itself.
