Im very new at this. Ive been reading, watching, and making my own
"somewhat" informed opinions on today's market. Its become a really
interesting hobby for me. With that said, and being interested in
strong companys like Starbucks,

I started following their financials and paying a closer attention to
how local stores are doing (at least from a street-side observation).
The 2 Starbucks in my area (there are tons more, but 2 that I drive by
daily) are consistently packed. One is a drive-thru that has a line
every morning starting at 6am. Not only that, but all the high school
and college kids are there until late at night. Even in the summer.
The other one, that isnt a drive-thru, but located in a bank, at least
has a 3 person line whenever im in there. Im in Orange County, so it
may be a trend to buy $3 coffee. Hell, I go to Starbucks and dont even
drink coffee. I like their $5 gum and $2 diet cokes, lol.

Anyways, I think Starbucks is strong and will be strong for a long
time.

I exited from my yesterday short position at  17.90. Market down today
(3/25/08) down almost 100 points and this thing is holding up.

IF you actually read his letters and have read them over the years you
would see that he would not consider SBUX as a company he would put
his money in.
