Subject: Tomorrow May 13
While I think that last week's run up to 15.25 was unjustified,
likewise, I feel that the 20% decline was also a case of the pendulum
swinging too far to the opposite direction.  I went long in the
12.40's and will be looking to sell tomorrow around 13.50.  I think
that unless there are any surprises with earnings (doubtful since
they've already come and and said they will outperform) this stock
should rise tomorrow.  In the last six trading days it's had 5 down
days and the other day was only up by a penny.  What does everyone
think?

Earning reports suggest a drop of 20-30 cents for tomorrow's opening.
Did the stock already take the hit during todays run or will there be
further loss? Im just looking at shorting

I dunno man, at a price above 15 just last week you already missed a
great opportunity to short this one.  They say they will be posting a
smaller loss than anticipated.  It might be dangerous to short this
one tomorrow.

Today's poor retail numbers might mean missed earnings or revised
earning estimates for Q2.

Guys,

I wouldn't be long M, consumer spending will only continue to
decline.  For your own sake don't listen to cnbc saying otherwise.
Foreclosures hit another record in April, unemployment will continue
to increase until 2010, people are already up to their necks in debt
via home equity lines, credit cards, underwater mortgages, etc..
Banks are lowering credit card limits, its going to get extremely ugly
for macys for the next 2 years.
