Some will ask the significance of the S. Korea KT Corp WiMax and
iPhone 3G/3GS deal. Few might not remember that in May of 2009 Sprint/ Clearwire began testing a mobile handset that would utilize WiMax VoIP; that phone could be iPhone 3G/3GS or maybe even the upcoming iPhone 4G. VoIP services are available now and do not violate the AT&T/iPhone

Sprint WiMax will be next... Mr. Hesse recently reported, "Sprint
WiMax offers a [3G MyFi] which is like a small wireless router that’s about the size of a thick credit card, the 3G versions. And we have a 4G version that operates on 4G and 3G that’s larger, but the size will come down over time. This means that anything that I own that is WiFi will operate at 4G... so any of my 3G or 2G cell phones that have WiFi can operate at 4G as long as I have one of these Sprint mobile hot spots with me; including MP3 players, [Apple] iTouch devices, gaming devices, cameras, video cameras, PCs, or netbooks. These can all be mobile 4G devices as long as they have WiFi on them because what these small routers do is they take that WiFi signal from all these devices that are out there on the market today that I’ve just described, and it goes WiFi to this mini-router and then Sprint Wimax 4G, or Sprint 3G depending on what’s available, out to the internet. The hot spot [today] is no longer the size of a WiFi hot spot, no longer the size of a coffee shop or your apartment, but it’s the size of the entire [city]... " Mr. Hesse thinks Sprint WiMax being first to market is a huge advantage... and I concur! These are all real time-to-market advantages for Sprint 4G WiMax NOW.

Don't leave out what may be the biggest cash cow for S in the future.
4G service will open the gateway for the M2M money stream. Although I do feel sorry for all the jobs that this will displace. The M2m gateway could possibly generate more revenue than wireless handset user. Think of every single household's gas, electric and water meters transmitting their data wireless to those service providers. Not to mention smartcars of the future. GO Sprint GO. Bravo to Sprint for making this massive investment at a time when jobs are needed the most. I will take this opportunity once again to shame all those souls out there that are shorting Sprints stock and by doing so wish to see this company fail. It shows the greats disrespect to your nation at a time when nation building is need most of all. LONG LIVE SPRINT
My deepest respect goes out to Dan Hesse and his team. We need more

Good point TheMan, Android is not making money up right now and S has
very little proprietary services (except their wiMax availability). I wonder how quickly Virgin will be able to transition the iPhone to US for S? Maybe sometime 4 qtr 2010? On Nov 19, 5:48 pm, TheMan <the...@alumni.com> wrote:

It's a 'no brainer' you have to look forward. Screw some of these
analysts and their bogus rating downgrades. They likely have an agenda or are extremely biased. The S money train is selling tickets for the best ride in the land. When Apple starts selling its iPod and iPhone 4G devices that will do what they can't do [today]; that is quickly download a full-length movie on a 4G WiMax-powered network. The iPhone-craving consumers will stretch down the block and outside the local Apple and Sprint retail stores! Wait and see... it's coming sooner than you think!
