1.) Barclays buy the unit it wants. 10,000 people (out pf 26,700) keep
their jobs.
     stock could go higher.
2.) KDB comes back in talks with LEH and buy ~50% of the company with
several insurance tools provided
by all sides who have interest here (all financials/brokers/fed).
stock go MUCH higher.

this is a pure gamble. I do not take part but I do watch and try to
learn.

by the way. I think LEH could be saved. I think Fed wanted it to fail
so a "dooms day" would be created and market would start to look
forward after it got the "blood" it wanted.

if there are buyers of this magnitude, I am sure a deal could be
reached.

we'll see.

Avital

In either case, I strongly believe the share holders might not see
benifits. So I don't think people should read this as the time to buy
stock for a potential upside. no more green hopes please

Rumors have it that the deal with KDB and Barclays seems like heaven
when compared to current situation and stock price.  Now LEH is at a
defensive situation and will have to take whatever it can get...not
like days ago.

if they do end up going bankrupt, what happens to our shares?  should
i be dumping them today for the $10 bucks or so that i'll get for them
after the commission, or should i hold onto them for any reason?  i
heard i could use $3,000 a  year for tax write-offs.  is that for
bankruptcy shares, or just losses  you have on shares of any company?

If LEH to be purchase, it must be a whole company otherwise they have
nothing.  Barclay went in to rip off LEH last chance of salvation.  It
is kind of evil intention, I would say.  And that is bad for
stockholders, because now we have no leverage/assets to pay the
creditors.  They may sue us and we maybe force to pay them.  US
marshals may come after you.  It's happened on the Simpsons.  Lol.
