Subject: Re: Projections on BP's 2007 Prudhoe Bay Production?
Hi. Speaking as a shell shocked owner of BPT it is a matter of
considerable interest and it should be easier to figure out. If someone knows what the over all production for the Unit is then it would be easy to multiply the unit production times BP's share. I believe the Unit produces about 400,000 BOPD and BP's share is about 25%. What put the stock into a tail spin is that BP (I think) wrote a letter to BPT saying that their share of Prudhoe Bay was likely to dip below 90,000 BOPD. However, I read somewhere that what BP was saying was that the drop in production was at least in part due to replacing aging pipelines, if that is so, then once the pipelines are replaced then the production should resume, if so, the $16 drop in the price of the stock seems very over done. Would be interested in any sources of information on this that anyone out there has! svester wrote:
