How bad is Maricopa?  Maricopa is badder than Michael Jackson, badder
than Leroy Brown, badder than Teddy Ruxpin.  Maricopa
sucks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!   Although Province is a nice community, I
wouldn't retire there unless I was in the FBI witness program.  Which
I could be if I continue blogging.  However, Maricopa is a C
submarket, one of the worst in the nation.  Google Earth it

Yet Meritage is buying finished lots there?  I want you to think about
this real hard...

My friends A and B finished lots have doubled in price.  The fact that
these lots in Maricopa were bought up shows the desperation by
builders in trying to secure finished lots.

I've just bought into Nokia, I've been watching them for a while but,
as the article suggests, I feel they are way oversold currently... so
I jumped in.

I wonder how many investors realise just how influential Nokia are in
the mobile industry. The iPhone has Apple's great marketing department
behind it, and Android's impact is still on the horizon, but Nokia are
the biggest name in mobile device R&D, and one of the biggest names in
the technology sector for a good reason. They've pumped billions into
advancing the sector's technological framework, and will continue to
do so, and they have an absolutely huge array of devices - they are
much more than just an iPhone competitor that short-term minded
traders like to assert. The mobile market is bigger than a single
device, people need to understand that. The iPhone does not dominate
the entire industry, it is just the latest in a long line of high
profile gadgets (for good reason I might add, I do believe it's a
great device, I'm not bashing it).

Basically, I am not too concerned for Nokia. They have taken some hits
lately, but financially this is down to business realities in one of
the worst quarters in recent history.... market share wise, some
competitors have taken a slice of the pie, but that pie is still
growing larger and larger, and has a great future. I'm in for the long
haul, and I think $13 is an absolute bargain for this tech company who
focuses more on research and development of the next big breakthroughs
than they do on producing fleeting novelties.

GLTA.

the iPhone is hardly a fleeting novelty and if NOK management thinks
that they are in for trouble. The big problem is at the Nokia Siemens
network venture. NOK might want to sell this off so they can
concentrate on their main business. If they keep the network venture,
there may be more write offs ahead. Nice dividend here but I wonder if
they will cut it to save cash.

Anybody know if Nokia paids dividend to "common shares" or is dividend
only for prefer shares?

Thanks!

CIT announces a contingency plan. As soon as the courts approve CIT's
Bankrupty plan the federal government will give a 2nd bailout. This is
what happened to General Motors. Ticker GM now MTLQQ. This is great
news for the entire economy.
