Yes, Nokia should have evolved quicker and anticipated this era of
mobile computers better (and so should Microsoft have). But they
started as late as 2006 to start to become a real software company.

Now, to compare this with Apple wichis is a very old software company
isn´t really fair. Apple could transport their OSX onto a mobile

It amazes me how behind this company is compared to other firms that
entered this realm of phones. They're so desperate for business that
knowing full well they can't compete they decide to sue Apple. What
they are missing is the entrepreneuring spirit and innovative drive
and I dont eer see thefinns mastering that....it's almost something

Buy low P/E companies with high return on equity, and ideally low
price/book, that would be my advice. Of course P/E at these troubled
economic times is difficult to measure properly, so I believe it makes
some sense to look at P/E based on pre-september 2008 earnings. An
example of a company meeting all these criteria are GLW.

This is a good start at getting Nokia Siemens Network into less of a
drag on NOK's earnings. Not sure if it is enough though.

Note the Nokia pays its dividend once a year, not quarterly. This
makes the 4% dividend not as attractive IMO.

subtract cash out of the stock price to compute P/E. This is standard
practive for companies with a war chest like Apple.

I am NOT saying buy and hold Apple forever, buy on a dip and hold for
about 6 months.

Own stocks in companies with good balance sheets, good business model,
good expectations for growth and a dividend appropriate for its

CIT announces a contingency plan. As soon as the courts approve CIT's
Bankrupty plan the federal government will give a 2nd bailout. This is
what happened to General Motors. Ticker GM now MTLQQ. This is great
news for the entire economy.

I'm holding shares of NOK at entry points around $15.00 (1000 shares)
and $13.70 (2000 shares).

Not sweating at all and want to buy 2000 more shares on Monday morning
around $12.70s .

Nokia is not going to go bankrupt any time soon and it pays a good
