Subject: Either XMSR or SIRIUS is being acquired
Rumor has it that they'll be no merger but actually there has
supposedly been an offer to buy one of these two satellite radio
providers?  At this point in time I believe it is not such a rumor.  I
wonder for what price and how soon we'll see this get accepted or
rejected!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I probably will take a wild guess here in assuming that the rumor is
being kicked out by the one who opened this discussion. He must have
sunk deep into SIRI and wants it to recover at any price :)))) I'm a
close watcher of SIRI, haven't heard any rumor like that :))) Either
back it up or go publishing junk somewhere else...

If you state something as fact (actually) then post a reference.
Otherwise state it as a rumor please. ;)

I'm a big believer in both of these companies, and have to say that
this is ridiculous.  Sirius doesn't fit the Google business model.
Also, Sirius is about to buy XM!

If Google came in to buy SIRI (Remember Google HAS been bidding on
Gov't bandwidth) and Citadel came in to buy XM, both might agree to
dissolve the merger without penalty to the other. I won't completely
discount Google's interest in SIRI, they have the money and have
expressed intrest in expanding their media empire.

I would be pissed however, if Google came in to buy SIRI and paid
$3.80 a share, after most have held this for so long I'd hate to see
them make peanuts on any purchase.

There's also no way Sirius would agree to sell itself for $3.80.  We
will find out whether the XM deal is approved shortly and if it is,
SIRI will jump in value.  They would only entertain a buyout from
Google or ConAgra (haha - great post) if the deal falls through.
