Subject: 60,000,000 million shares retired for Sirius/XM according to the10K!
On Page 20 of the 10K under (12) Stockholder's equity in paragraph 3:

"During the third quarter of 2009, Morgan Stanley Capital Services
Inc. returned 60,000,000 shares of our common stock initially borrowed
in July 2008 to facilitate the offering of the exchangeable notes.
The returned shares were retired upon receipt."

Let me understand this correctly these were most likely shares that
were used to short and they make up about 1.5% of the float and they
will no longer be used!    Dem, Jeff, Boones, chime in on this
one!     This sounds like really good news!   I hope we see more of
this in the future!

Ken, I emailed link with my thoughts that I posted on satwaves. Didn't
feel like retyping it :).
But it makes me a bit angry 200m still remain.
I don't understand why they should still remain outstanding.

I noticed someone yesterday mentioned that Mel commented on a number
related to our market cap,  that didn't correlate with the actual
numbers,
during his interview with Faber, could those shares be the 60,000,000
in
question?

Bonees, thanks for the e-mail!    It would be nice if the other 200
million were returned!

Steel,

I e-mailed investor relations, and asked for clarification on the 6.5
B shares, they did not respond.

I took it as 4 billion common outstanding plus the preffered shares
owned by Malone worth 2.5 billion common.

Investor Relations will probably answer on Monday morning. They don't
work late Fridays or over the weekend.

Dem,  How much advertising do you think SIRI will do?   Looking at the
10Q I see they spent roughly 52 million on sales and marketing in the
3rd. quarter and they have 51 million listed for the remainder of the
year(4th quarter)!   If they ramp up advertising aggressively like Mel
stated in the CC that 51 million figure is obviously going to go up!
Every 40 million equates to roughly .01 per share charge!   If it goes
up to let's say 90 million that would be an extra .01 per share charge
right!   I quess will enough subs be generated to offset the extra
advertising expense to put SIRI in profit land for quarter 4!

I plan on doing some research on all this when I get back. Your
numbers look right on as far as forecasting though, just not sure what
number they plan on exploiting. I recall last Christmas season they
went on an advertising blitz as well, or, maybe that was two years
ago.

I'm out for a three day. Good to have some time off. Was just looking
in....

60,000,000 million?  That's like 60,000,000,000,000!
