Honestly I hope that works out for you, but its beyond retarded.
People who did the same things as you are part of the reason we're in
this mess to begin with. Taking on excess risk with other peoples
money trying to make a quick buck. If it works out you win. If it
blows up in your face you lose and so do a lot of other people.

Ok, here's pessimism (not from me) - I consider it a good sign that
Credit Suisse has a $1 12 month price target.  When they did that to
Ford (Barclays gave GM a target of $1.50 and Ford $0.50), the stock
wound up shooting up to $3 a month later from the mid $1s.  Cheers!

Seriously "t" - best of luck with that one.  If you make out ok, may I
strongly suggest you implement an investment discipline - set aside an
allocation of you money to just sit in cash and the other half only
for investing.  You can always reallocate the percentages (50/50,
60/40, etc.) but you'll never have to do what you just did again.
Trust me, you'll make a lot of money this way.

Are you serious? You need to call your card company and take a cash
out. They should be able to send you a check and then you cash it in
with your broker and buy a whole lot of ETFC. Happy trails.

Oh, absolutely cjre - no disagreement here.  My point was that back in
early 2009 - maybe after the March drop - Barclays made those
ridiculous 12 month targets.  That's my point.  I bought F betting on
my research that it would be the winner over a period of 6 months to a
year.  So Barclays made this call before GM imploded.  I consider it a
great sign that Credit Suisse made an equally stupid 12 month target
on ETFC ($1 - c'mon, the stock is already trading above it's target).

They have done really poorly lately because they don't have a CEO...

till I' am 60 yeas old then retirement then find out i have cancer
and die and I work all my live for the man (banks). Right now i only
32 year old. If you wont to make big money not the 2k to 10k on a 10%
but 30 to 100K you need to tack some big risk how do you think the big
boy are making money by inverting 10K, 30k 100k 500k.... I do agree
with "capn" in some point i need to stop taking big risk this is not

Well - keep in mind that second quarter of 2010 will be profitable (if
the world doesn't collapse again) in which case 2.50 is low...

I mean - once they become a profitable stable institution they should
by at least 3...

The thing guys is - that as soon as they pass the 2.50 - 3.00 mark, a
lot of funds and institutions will be interested as well - not that
they are not now, but they just have rule and cannot invest in such a
cheap stock...

I am personally making a very big one year bet which can easily double
my money on this stock

and the truth is that there is no other good stable stock like this
one that can offer a possible 100% in one year...

Very bullish (not that I have not been in the past) but now - more
than ever...
