thinking but hey why not ;)

1.50's is probably right. Which would suck but not surprise me as this
stock has no momentum.

I'm tempted to sell most of my shares..

I would not sell. I am holding mine, of it drops, so it goes back up
to 1.80, over all this is a great stock.

What do you mean what's going on - it's a recovering company.  It's
woes have to end at some point.  I think it's going to find some
stability in the mid $1.6s and work up from there.  GLTA

Wouldn't it make sense that if AMTD or someone was negotiating an
aquisition they would do it before Don Lyton was replaced.  It would
seem that that would save a bunch for the overtaking company.  ...just
speculation.

I don't think they are negotiating yet.  I really don't they are in
that phase yet.  And BAC and WFC could also be really good
possibilities - but look at them ... they're still paying off TARP.
Nothing is happening until next year.  I firmly believe that one now.

And again - maybe they're not selling at all.  I didn't buy ETFC b/c
they are a possible takeover candidate, I bought them b/c they are a
recovering company - one of the first signs the housing bubble was
bursting.

My point is no one is ready to buy ETFC including AMTD .... Wait for
the big banks to get more clear of TARP (next year) and then you'll
see consolidations heat up in this sector.  That's all I'm saying - I
think they'd make a good match w/ BAC.  I also think they'd make a
good go of it staying independent too.  But AMTD and TD getting ETFC -
that's too much market share ... that should make the big boys
uncomfortable, if it indeed starts to seriously be in the works. I
don't see it there yet.
