I love the forgotten stocks...ATI who?? its killin the market and
looks fantastic...thinking about taking some profits or holding it
till earnings call and seeing what happens there...any thoughts?

relative to sales (indicating shrinking market demand);
Check the transcript. They were increasing inventories because they
are taking some manufacturing capacity offline in 08H2 for upgrades/
refurbishment. I'm not saying that demand might not be down, just that
it is more nuanced than a simple 2 variable equation.

this could be one of those opps that you watch and watch and then one
day you wake up and look at the price and it's gone. be careful but it
is a definite possibility for aero to make a bid. think Afghanistan
and Georgia and voila this is better than X.

P/E is 8.87 now. The us steel prices are set to rise significantly in
2008, base on Goldman Sachs's view, on a short squeeze that should
more than offset recessionary demand trends. I will hold this one for
long term investment.

Who is going to re-tool the machine worn out and left overseas in
Iraq? Steel/Metals and NRG/Oil go together. 2.23 per gal. at 10 per

Its not particularly cheap for the sector its in with ape of 13 and a
forward
pe of over 14. Also, it's high beta makes for a rocky ride, and that
tends
to keep investors cautious.
Long term, I think this is a safe play.

I think this stock have been seriously hurted by the market crises...

"ATI" have a great demand, moreover the products are essential for
the ultimate technology.

May have been at 12pm today when it dropped to $80.11 and the Dow was
down 300+ points from yesterday's close. This a good stock, but like
many good stocks when the lemmings panic it not about a stock's value
or even the general health of the economy. Closed up $7 from the lows
of the day and the broader markets all moved up strong at the close.

thanks for the insight. i got in friday at 98.18. plan on unloading
75% at around 105-107 then keep the rest and hope for the best.
