This may be old-fashioned of me, but allow me to "christen" this
thread. :) (You can imagine champagne smashing on the side of a hull
now.)

In light of the growth of ecommerce, this company compares reasonably
well with Amazon.com. In terms of market capitalization, they are in
the same ballpark. IAC is worth a bit less.

Is this a better company than Amazon? Or worse? If worse, is this
because it's so diversified? Isn't Amazon also diversified?

If the multitude of brands is a drawback, do you think IAC will undergo
further name/identity changes in order to build a more cohesive image?
