Class action suit? I'm all for it. They have ignored my all of my
complaints. I wrote a three page letter, emailed it, faxed it, and
they have ignored it for a week now. Site has been down repeatedly in
the last month, when I've wanted to buy on dips and sell on rallies,
especially this past Friday and Monday, I waited all last week for the
Dow to break 8000 and dive in but no such luck. I've also had MANY
other problems besides the site being down. I'd put it all here but it
would be three pages. If you are considering TDA, don't. It's been
four weeks of absolute b.s.

I tried to blow out of all positions during the first 10 minutes after
the bell because I'm DONE with TDA, but couldn't, site not working
again. It works now but my gains for the day are now down 90%.

Subject: Re: ameritrade logon is not working
Still no response to emails, faxes and phone calls. When site was down
again yesterday, I tried to sell all positions over phone, couldn't
get a hold of a person, I listened to audio feed for close to 30
minutes and then line went dead.  Couldn't call a branch, numbers not
listed.  When I finally got hold of a rep, I demanded to talk to a
superior, he said no, I demanded again, he said no one is available, I
demanded again, he said no superiors are in the office for the day
(b.s.), I demanded again, he said no, I then said we will stay on the
line until he puts me on with a superior even if it takes eight hours,
he said he would stay on the line for the day... silence... five
minutes later I asked him to put a superior on the line, he was still
there and said no... silence... a few minutes pass and he says I am
putting you on hold, before I could say anything he did so, audio
feed, he never put a superior on the line.  On their contact page it
says "We're here for you".  By the way, before I considered leaving
TDA, I asked for additional free trades or the promo extended, I was
told no.  I then actually SCREAMED.  I was still told no.  I then
screamed so loud waking up everyone in the house, several times.  I
finally got trial trades extended for 30 days, BUT, was told if I
leave TDA within 9 months, I will be charged for ALL free trades that
I've used since account opening.

I highly recommend that all those who have been screwed by TD
Ameritrade's incompetence file a complaint with the Better Business
Bureau:

Subject: Re: ameritrade logon is not working
I again got this error message:  OPRA: SERVICE NOT AVAILALBE OR
TEMPORARY DOWN.  (in example)  i others captured.

Not with the BBB, but FINRA,  FINRA is the one who can make damages to
their licenses. and make them pay for damages and force them for
regulation damages

i have lost over 40k because of latent sell/buy orders or because
their charts were not working.  They also said if you try to file a
complaint we may shut your account down while reviewing it.  What kind
of B.S. is this?   It seems their trying to hide all the people who
know the problems exist or who are having problems!!  And the only
thing they do if you lose money because of their system problems and
threats is to give you free trades.  go figure.  A class action is
needed on them.  only a handful is needed for a class action.  because
if this is spread and affected by handful across the usa, it will be
enough for a law firm; because the rest will follow!

""Do not Post error messages,  Actually don't post the error
messages.  Just capture them and save them and keep all records for
the attorneys.""

They keep denying they ever had a problem.  Keep a log of all names,
extensions, ID #'s and location of  the representatives.

I think a class action is needed.  I have heard numerous FINRA CASES
have been filed with tdameritrade.  But if the case are deceptive and
decieving and enough member is goes outside of FINRA.  I just received
a copy of it.  And it shows hundreds of charges against
tdameritrade!!!

To a capture screen and save all messages; i have recorded my
conversations and i was told by FINRA these can be subpoena.  It is
very important to not the exact date and time, Reps name, ID,
location.  We now need to look for law firms that specializes in SEC
and there numerous.  Post all links.

These messages need to passed along to members for prospective class
action members; need 3-5 to start.  This is the not the first
tdameritrade is been doing this.  regulation/complaint records show
there is a pattern by FINRA, in the past if i am understanding
correctly they have been fined more $1mill mulitple times.

TD won't process my cash withdrawal request!  I first emailed asking
for routing info for their bank so I could initiate transfer from my
bank, I'm starting to move everything out after all the b.s. The
question was evaded and instead I got a copy and paste script to
initiate from their website.  I did and they cancelled the pending
request.  Thank you thesis4... for the tip about FINRA.  I emailed
you.  I have a timeline of all complaints for the last five weeks of
total hell.

you do capture screen by pushing the print screen button on your
keyboard; its above your insert and delete button.  then open paint in
accessories and click paste; this will copy whatever was captured with
the print screen feature; this should be done with each message and
saved into a folder.

keep names, dates, and times and id numbers; this will be important
for FINRA damages.

On Oct. 10th after the bell, I placed buy limit orders for JPM 35.55,
PG 55.55, AAPL 85.55, SSO 24.55... and each time I got "service
unavailable", stocks fell more so I would have gotten filled.  On Oct.
14th after the bell, I placed sell market orders for what I did have,
and again "service unavailable" after each trade placed for 20
minutes.  I could not reach someone by phone.  During that time JPM
went to 43.55, PG went to 65.88, AAPL went to 116.40, SSO went to
39.80.  My buy for SSO was 250 shares.  That alone went up almost 60%,
a gain of more than $3750 for SSO.  Then there are all the other
positions I couldn't unload on the 14th.  I should have had a gain
over 6K.  Not bad for one week for a newbie but instead I went into a
hole due to TD Ameritrade's web and phone failures.  To most what I
lost is a drop in the bucket.  To me it would have provided a roof
over my head and food for 6 months.  I would have driven to a branch
but I can't see an inch beyond my face, I am legally blind.  Should
have kept my money in Schwab with a higher commission, their website
worked and you could reach someone by phone.

So, do your math and mind your own business.

I have been in the process of setting up an IRA account for the past
10 days. Communications and assistance has been good. I've not had any
problems getting connected. After becoming somewhat familiar with the
Options 360 package however, I decided that I wanted to stay with
Scottrade. Having not even placed a buy/sell order I thought it would
be a no-brainer to get them to send me a check. But, after requesting
that a check be sent to me, things went downhill fast. Here's the
latest communication that I received via email:

We are unable to process your request for a check in the amount of
$..... at this time because of: 6-day Holds.

If I walked into my bank and wanted to close my account, would it take
6 days?  This is unbelievable !!!
