Subject: Why this stock is going up.... arbitrage
For those new investors in China ADR stocks, China Southern is
actually listed in at least 3 different markets under the quote ZNH, 1055.HK and 600029.SS . One ZNH stock represents fifty 1055.HK / 600029.SS stocks. To find the stock prices of the HK and SS market equivalent to the ZNH, you will have to use this formula: (1055.HK or 600029.SS)*50 / (7.84 or exchange rate). You will see that the stocks in mainland China is twice the price of the US listed ones. A new rule stating that individual mainland China investors can invest in foreign markets should mean that the price gap would narrow.* *Forward looking statement. Just looking at the top 5 of this list: http://www.cnanalyst.com/ytd_ranking/index.html They've all performed EXTREMELY well today...and I'm thinking what You must Sign in before you can post messages.
