Coal is close relative of oil,

a) coal is black,

b) coal is used for energy

But unlike oil

a) coal is solid

b) coal is plentifull

c) coal is in geopolitically favorable areas

d) coal is more costly to use as energy

e) metal smelting uses coal

f) 15% of US ellectricity powerd by coal

g) Shenhua of China spent billions opening new coal pants in co-
operation with Sasol in 2008

h) technology known as Fischer Tropach has been used to make low
Sulfur diesel by Sasol since end of WW2, developed by Nazi Germany .

So i think coal will be energy of future, not wind, not oil, not
ethanol , not waves, and most certainly not silly weak solar ,
Nuclear is another winner i think.

Sorry to say of coal here, but since we are here to make money, so i
thought you want to know too.

This is my opinion based on part in facts .

As for ZNH , i am realy low on this, i hope it will pick up, lost
£2000 , yes sterling unfortunately,., but still holding,

I trust oil will head lower , possible  touch 70, and trafic China
will resume , with ZNH getting some gains i hope. I am not very
optimistic it will get to $16, though i hope it will.

ZNH enacted a 3:2 split on 23rd Sept 2008.

Nice research you did there.. I hope you did a little more research
before you bought this stock.

COAL WILL RISE , BUT NOT BECAUSE SHORS ARE ILLEGAL NOW.

Weather is hot, ice cream man sells icecream at high prices, he makes
profit.

Weather in cold same man seen selling hotdogs and coffe , he makes
profit.

The man makes money by thinking ahead. Some say he manupilates the
weather, as the man is always happy, hot or cold.

Some will say the weather is controled by the man,  the man can not
win against  waves of finger pointing at him  being responsible for
the weather.

The man is driven out,, but the weather changes as before.

Though true  bulls can drive market up, and bears can drive market
down, but a shorter is a betting man, he cares little if it goes up or
down, he times the fall and make profit.

One will never blame a bull  , forcing prices higher artificially by
buying on belief the prices will rise , and as a result forcing the
prices higher and creating a bubble.

Here , it suits the law makers to allow  fingers to be pointed at
shorts, they wanted the blame at some one, and here the shorts get
it,  as if they control the market, some are such fools that think a
post here can also change the direction of the market. Its amusing
reading some posts here.

According to same principles as some fools here,answer is YES.

Wake up a shorter is a betting man with knowledge, just as the ice
cream seller knows when to sell his product, they both follow the
trend.

Its in intrest of no one for a market to fall, but adjusments are
essential, and some predict and time a bet for or against the market.

The prices of all  hard commodities,  energy, particularly coal  will
rise not due to new rules, but because China has ended its Olympic ,
and now factories will start getting back to work after 6 weeks shut
down.

But i doubt prices will reach the pre Olympic level.

So , if you are in coal , you wil see a sudden solid rise to the year
end.

Why ZNH's been over sold so much, despite its H1 Net Profit Up 368%??
It looks like the sky is falling in China, but actually it's not!
Although everyone knows the fuel cost is an issue, but these airlines
have been over sold quite deeply, should the current price levels have
reflected the fuel risk, therefore too much over sold?

The only thing you are wrong about is to think you are wrong in your
estimation of situation!! as your overall assesment are plausable at
worst.

I never read any company report , finacial accounts or balance sheets,
they can all be LIES. I trust no company report, no matter who they
are.

I bought China Southern Air, mid July as i bought several USA
airliners, i know zero of any airliners and never heard of them, dont
even live in USA ,but i predicted oil prices will go down so energy
stocks down, airliners up, esp with so many flights in holiday season,
and i am making money from US airliners i never even heard or dont
care to read of the company report.

this China Air liner one made me losses so i got out.

I will get out out of the 5 stocks in  US airliners after oil reaches
low 100 and possible 70, with in next 2-4 wks.

China is key to oil ,consumption, commodities.

I will move to coal ,

However , i am thinking China Southern Air will  come back as Olympic
ends and restriction on China visa, bussiness will relax, 100% agree
with you Ardeshir.

I am 95% certain this stock will make me a 300% profit with in 6 wks.
I will buy it after Olympics, at end of Aug.2008.

No, i dont think in terms of just over $20, this airliner will be in
upper $60. if i am mistaken , i will have to calm down with my
predictions, and get a job.

The Olympics have definitely stunted the upturn as flights to Beijing
have been cut and visa restrictions thoroughly increased. Oil
speculation (whether it be the Georgian conflict or American Fuel
Reserves) has also kept the rebound at bay. I don't know much about
stocks but it seems that if oil continues it's gradual fall, hopefully
to $100 in the next two weeks, and the games finish, this stock will
jump up well over $20.

I could very well be wrong and am just seeing if anyone else has
thoughts on the matter ...

olympics have helped cause the decline. less flights, tighter visa
restrictions and overall less traffic all means going down albeit
slowly. you will see a jump after the games in traffic relative to the
two weeks prior.

low and lower oil +olympic trafic = i think we make some profit.

I belive oil will come down to low 100 with in next 3-4 weks.

 I wont b suprised see 70 oil in Sep-Oct 2008.It will go up sharp
thereafter, in my opinion.

All airliners will go up with in next 3-6 weeks, and then sharp
decline.

All hard commodities + potash will drop and go down. All energy sector
will decline for 3-6 weeks only.

As China Olympic air travel will increase Aug,  by Sep 2008 we should
see the figures in positives.

I calculate aprox price in  $ 30- 35 range  for China Southern
Airlines Ltd ( ADR) .

I am no economist, no mathematician, no professional in finances ,
just an ordinary person with some ideas.

All statments writen  here become  perminant postings on Google, even
after it no longer available here.

My predictions will stay on, if i am wrong , i'll  have to humble pies
as well as be more poor.
