It'll affect almost all game companies. 18 games shouldn't be sold to
minors, end of. It's not because most of them will be affected it's
because a small amount are too stupid to know the difference between
virtual and real life.

I think this is good news, that will make game companies have more
value!!  This is only because GTA and other +18 games are inelastic
for 15 year olds, it will also increase its demand, as the "forbidden"
things tend to have greater demand.  An example of this is drugs!  Due
to its ilegal situation, drugs prices are really high, but that doesnt
stop junkies from taking them.  So in conclusion, game companies share
price will rise!

I totally agree. Likewise, driving shouldn't be permitted to members
of the general population even after having passed driving tests,
since there exists that unfortunate bunch that drives unsafely due to
their own stupidity. Also, fast food restaurants should close their
doors to minors. Some of them are too stupid to realize that the food
can cripple their health; this only adds expense to our healthcare
system and increases their mortality (just like violent video games).
Come to think of it, why can't we just quarantine minors into safety
camps until it's deemed that they all reach that critical age of 18
after which they pose no threat to society.

You've described issues while missing out important factors
completely, hence your argument is flawed.

Yes bad drivers still pass, these are the people traffic cops are out
to catch, why we have speed cameras, etc. Fast food restaurants?? Fat
kids aren't a threat to other people. Violent people are.

Again, it's an error to assume psychological maturity as far as
violence goes at the age of 18. If you were going to choose an age
based on developmental psychology, I would go for 25 because some
studies have shown that risk-taking behavior may not have normalized
until late adolescence.

Also, we have cops to catch violent kids too, so by your logic, if bad
drivers can drive and we assume they'll be caught, then minors can
play violent video games and we'll assume they'll be caught if they
try to kill people in real life. Clearly bad drivers still kill people
before they're caught, and clearly (but I'd argue far less frequently)
minors will kill before being caught.

I recognize that children that are unhealthy due to fast food (and
they don't need to be fat) don't directly harm others. The point is
that they can become a drain on our health care system, thereby
boosting health insurance costs for others, which then is a direct
harm on others who may not be able to afford insurance. Not only that,
but I don't think it's necessary to argue that eating fast food can
hurt others. The fact that it hurts the people that eat it is enough
for me to call that a "bad thing." If you are trying to protect
members of society, that shouldn't be limited to the ones which you
believe make good decisions. All that said, I think minors should have
the freedom to both eat fast food and play violent video games, with
any limitations enforced by their parents.
