Ever play CoD4?... Of course you haven't. Because you're all 40+ year
old investors that don't play video games. Call of Duty sold 7 million
copies in half a calendar year and is still selling strong. Now here
comes the fun part, ĞŧÅ4 is going to crush that in sales. Don't let EA
brainwash you into thinking that TTWO can't take its stock higher then
$26 with the sales of Grand Theft Auto 4.

Take advise from the 22 year old kid that threw every cent he had 2
WEEKS prior to the EA bid.

I'm worried about EA pulling the deal and it tumbling back down to
$16, with GTA bringing it up to $26 - basically leaving us in the same
spot.

I agree GTA4 is going to be one of the biggest releases of all time
next to Halo3. No wonder EA wanted to scoop it before the game hits
the shelves.

I was always told to invest in what I know... I know video games. I
think $28 is realistic but won't even be the least bit surprised when
it hits $30.

It's also nice to hear from the young investors out there. Always good
to see fellow gamers/investors out there supporting the gaming
industry.

I'm glad you mentioned investing in what you know. I have been out of
the loop in investing for a while and started playing video games
again last summer... right before Halo 3 and the original GTA4 release
date. I have been tracking TTWO, Activision (before COD4) and Gamestop
and I must say that this market is HOT.

See mom you can make money playing video games!

For all take two share holders will you call up take two interactive
software and ask them to drop the current poison pill and adopt the
flip in poison pill which will mean that people besides the hostile
take over company can buy take two interactive share at a discount
rate and to have them get a loan or bond of $2 billion to pay back all
of its shares holders at $26 per share.

Perhaps the shareholders can point this out to them.

t-minus 11.5 hours till release (less is your gamestop is opening at
10). EA failed and this stock is going to take off like a crackhead
with his feet on fire. thanks to all the believers that truly think
this stock should have been trading at $26 even before the EA bid.

my only question now is do I sell at 30 or hold out for 32? hehh, it's
a tough life isn't it?

Yea, it's a tough call.  My thinking is bail at $31, be it this week
or next week when it spikes and then hope it goes down in the next
year and get back in.    If the Rock* team sticks around at take two I
like this stock long as my feeling is GTA V will be an all online game
and $ubscription based.

I highly doubt this stock will see anything around $30...you're
talking about another 13% increase on an event that everyone has seen
a mile away. Think of it this way...how many people do you anticipate
will be buying this stock when the sales figures are announced? It
would be foolish to buy this stock when the only catalyst for upside
has just passed. Thus if there are no buyers, there is no upside. Take
this board for example: everyone is talking about when to sell- there
are no more buyers...the only way this sees $30 is with a higher bid
from EA and I personally wouldn't run that risk.

GTA V is years away...and it definitely won't be subscription based.
TTWO is a horribly run company that has some great games. The
management is ridiculously corrupt. I can only hope they are ousted by
EA.

Sadly ... I agree with Resplin with regards to the 1st portion.  Most
people are looking for when to sell, and unless we start getting a few
more long terms on board, there is no way it will hit $31 in the short
term (next 1-3 month or so).  So yup, no buyers, no upside.

Though I do disagree with Resplin regard management being corrupt.
These guys are not getting paid nearly as much as *cough* countrywide
CEO *cough* or merril's or citi's.  I can go on with regards to bank
CEOs who get paid more for doing worse for their shareholders.     I
know these are different industry (Banks vs Video Games), but
compensation for performance is compensation for performance.  With
the new management in place, TTWO had their 1st profitable quarter
with a NON-GAAP EPS of $0.05 in Q4 (This was the quarter where
BioShock & Carnival games was released) in 2 years.

Now before we go into the NON-GAAP and GAAP argument, ERTS posted a
GAAP EPS LOSS of $0.10 a share for Q3 or a NON-GAAP EPS GAIN of $0.90
a share for Q3 ... you have funky accounting going on there if you ask
me, $1 difference between GAAP & NON-GAAP, did they stop paying their
employees in cash and just paid everything through options? ...

But anyway, with the 1st profitable quarter in 2 years, I say
management heading on the right track and should be compensated for
solving problems that were created by the older group.

And plus the CEO, old board of directors, CFO and a few others
involved with the options back dating scandel has already been fire.

GTA IV is breaking records in the review department by getting perfect
socres, this is unheard of.  The latest numbers I've read is that by
years end sales of this game may top $750 million.  6 million units
might fly off the shelf in the first 2 weeks. Over 4000 news stories
currently come up when GTA is typed into google news, including a
story in the NYT and the NYT website has a link on their front page to
a featured article about the game.

Oh and nice timing with those Economic Stimulus rebate checks.

The perfect storm has arrived folks, $30+ on the way.

I think TTWO is still a short term play, regardless of it gets bought
or what.  After GTA IV, TTWO has no more bullets left in its gun.
Sure the sales will drive the stock up, however what happens in the
Fall?  Unless there is another surprise hit like Bioshock was last
Fall, TTWO may tumble down prior to the end of the 3rd Q.  In
addition, it will be years before GTA V.   Its forward PE is a
negative 7.  This release pays back shareholder value yet I don't see
an amazing long term growth plan.

^ I disagree, you forget that GTA IV will have downloadable episodic
installments to purchase which means no packaging and no retailerrs to
siphon off profits.  And does anyone not think that GTA won't be
hitting the big screen in the future?

TTWO was trading at $18 prior to EA's takeover bid which then sent it
to $27.  Nothing else was on the horizon for TTWO when it was $18 a
share except for GTA IV.  This game by itself I could see taking TTWO
from $18 to $24-$25 and that is about it.  If EA were to retract their
bid, I'd see TTWO falling to $25, maybe $24. The hype of GTA IV is
already built into the stock price that EA got TTWO to, that is why
you don't see it going higher today.  My guess is that you will see
this trade sideways for a bit which will prove EA's point that $27 per
share is fair.  IF TTWO will have to then make a decision, ok the deal
or let EA walk and watch their stock drop a couple points...
