Their CEO doesn't seem to share your optimism. I do agree that TTWO is
probably the best publisher out there right now.
As far as IPs go, there really isn't any loyalty to any particular
brand...except MGS. If a game is good, people will buy it. So why pay
a high premium for a publisher when you can start your own little
company and hire developers? I think this is ultimately why there can
never be any significant M&A action in this sector. Blizzard expanded
into the console space so their aquisition of ATVI makes some sense
although I think they bought the wrong company (they shoulda bought
TTWO)
If TTWO breaks $10 then I'm bullish, otherwise it'll probably continue
to play between $10 and $8 until we approach some release dates. They
drop China Wars for PSP? that sucka will just get downloaded like all
the other PSP games...
